The R–Series by ewo is a purpose-built family of in-ground luminaires designed for the architectural sector, with a strong emphasis on blending clean aesthetics and functional flexibility. Its sleek, minimal design and variety of size options make it ideal for highlighting urban art installations and architectural features with precision and elegance.
This series is available in five different diameters, ranging from the compact 50 mm (R50) to the robust 204 mm (R200). Depending on the configuration, the R–Series delivers luminous flux levels from 130 lumens to 2,650 lumens, providing options for subtle ambient effects or powerful focal lighting. Designed to be used with ewo’s A–Series optics, the R–Series supports a wide range of symmetrical and asymmetrical light distributions. In fact, the modularity of the A–Series allows for up to 1.7 billion lens combinations, offering unmatched customization for illumination.
Color temperatures include 2,200 K, 2,700 K, 3,000 K, and 4,000 K, all with a minimum color rendering index of CRI ≥ 80. Additional CRI values are available upon request. For projects requiring dynamic color, RGBW variants are available in sizes R90 through R200.
The R–Series supports a variety of control systems including switchable, DALI, 0–10V, line switch, and DMX, allowing seamless integration into existing lighting infrastructures. It is also DALI-compatible and ready for smart lighting networks. Control nodes—either internal or external—enable individual or group-based luminaire control. With the addition of an external Zhaga interface, the R–Series can be fully integrated into smart city ecosystems, making it a forward-thinking solution for both functional and artistic lighting applications.
