The FL50-GEN2 MONO is a cutting-edge monochromatic architectural spot and flood light, representing the latest generation in the FL product series. Engineered on the award-winning COLOR-STREAM® platform, this luminaire offers communication speeds up to 16 times faster than traditional DMX, enabling liquid-smooth dimming and seamless control. Leveraging GVA’s INFINITY® technology, up to 79 FL50-GEN2 MONO fixtures can be linked in a single continuous run, providing exceptional flexibility to fulfill diverse architectural lighting needs such as wall washing, grazing, and precise spot lighting.
Designed with ultra-narrow beam angles as tight as 3°, the FL50-GEN2 MONO delivers up to 7,270 lumens, powered by either 36 discreet high-power LEDs or 18 discreet LEDs in the narrowest configurations. The COLOR-STREAM® platform supports high-speed communication at 6.25 Mbps, with refresh rates up to 120 frames per second, 12-bit dimming resolution, and a flicker-free 40 kHz dimming frequency. This results in smooth, precise dimming transitions ideal for both architectural aesthetics and video applications.
The luminaire is built for durability and versatility, operating efficiently within a temperature range of -40°C to +50°C (-40°F to 122°F), and featuring inherent progressive thermal protection. Its robust construction meets the ANSI C136.31-2018 vibration standard, making it suitable for challenging environments such as bridges and overpasses. Compact and lightweight, the fixture measures 228 mm by 251 mm by 84 mm (9.0 in by 9.9 in by 3.3 in) and weighs only 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs). The housing is finished with a highly weatherable AAMA 2604 compliant powder coating, ensuring longevity and resistance to harsh weather conditions. The FL50-GEN2 MONO is rated IP66 for protection against dust and water ingress and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
This architectural lighting solution accepts a wide range of input voltages, including INF (380 V DC), ELV (48 V DC), and multiple AC voltages from 100 V to 277 V. It supports versatile control protocols such as Art-Net 4, sACN, DMX-512A, DALI/DALI 2, and 0-10 V control through GVA’s Power-Data Equipment (PDC-GEN5). With a projected LED lifetime of L70 B50 at 115,000 hours at 25°C (77°F), the FL50-GEN2 MONO promises long-lasting performance in dry, damp, or wet locations with humidity ranging from 0 to 100%. Its IEC classification is ELV Class III for low-voltage models and Class I for AC/INF input configurations.
