The CBU-ARP-LR is a Bluetooth-controlled, Casambi-enabled long-range lighting control unit designed for single-channel 0-10V LED drivers. It incorporates a built-in 2.0 A relay and a motion sensor input, allowing it to fully cut power to the LED driver if the driver cannot be turned off through the 0-10V control interface. The unit also supports a 12-24 VDC input for a motion sensor, which must be powered externally through mains voltage or auxiliary voltage from the connected LED driver. The 0-10V output can be configured as a DALI interface, enabling control of multi-channel LED drivers (up to five channels) and access to diagnostic information from the connected devices. The CBU-ARP-LR can be installed outside a metal switch box, inside a luminaire, or into a ceiling outlet box by removing a standard ½” knockout, offering flexibility in a wide range of indoor installations.
Control of the CBU-ARP-LR is achieved via the Casambi App, which is available for free on iOS and Android devices. Through the app, users can manage individual luminaires or create a complete and fully integrated lighting control system with up to 250 units forming an intelligent mesh network automatically. The unit can also be controlled using traditional wall switches. The mesh network technology ensures that each CBU-ARP-LR acts as a repeater, extending control across all connected devices and maintaining reliable wireless communication throughout the network. Long-range wireless performance can reach approximately 650 feet (200 meters) with a clear line of sight, though environmental factors and enclosure materials, such as metal, may reduce this range. Thorough testing is recommended to ensure network coverage and control from any point.
The CBU-ARP-LR operates on a voltage range of 120-277 VAC at 50-60 Hz, with a maximum mains current of 40 mA and standby power consumption below 0.5 W. The built-in relay supports 120-277 VAC at 50-60 Hz with a maximum current of 2.0 A. Its Class 2 control outputs include 0-10 VDC at a maximum of 7 mA and DALI at 12 VDC sourcing up to 20 mA, with support for connecting one LED driver and one motion sensor. The motion sensor input operates at 12-24 VDC with an input current of 2-5 mA, enabling occupancy-based lighting control and automation.
The unit is suitable for indoor environments, with an operating ambient temperature range of -20°C to +45°C (-4°F to +113°F) and a maximum case temperature of +70°C (+158°F). It supports storage temperatures from -25°C to +70°C (-13°F to +158°F) and operates in relative humidity conditions from 0 to 80%, non-condensing. The CBU-ARP-LR uses a 2.402–2.480 GHz radio transceiver with a maximum output power of +8 dBm to communicate with other Casambi-enabled devices. Mechanically, the unit measures 55.0 x 49.4 mm (64.2 mm with threaded nipple) x 27.0 mm (2.2” x 1.9” x 1.1”), weighs 110 g (4 oz), has a degree of protection of IP20 for indoor use, and is classified as Class 2 for electrical safety.
By combining a compact form factor, long-range wireless connectivity, and versatile control options—including 0-10V, standalone DALI, motion sensor integration, and relay-based power control—the CBU-ARP-LR enables highly flexible and intelligent lighting systems. Its integration with Casambi mesh network technology allows seamless scaling from a single luminaire setup to complex multi-luminaire systems, providing a robust solution for modern indoor lighting control.
