The CleanScene graphic image light for MRI and imaging suites is a recessed ceiling-mounted luminaire, specifically configured for 4'×4' grid installations. The doorframe is fabricated from 18-gauge aluminum with a one-piece inset construction and welded corners, finished with a TGIC polyester powder coat in standard white or optional black. This five-stage pre-treatment provides long-term durability and resistance to corrosion, validated through a 1,000-hour salt spray test. The internal hinge design, combined with twelve captive stainless steel Phillips-head fasteners, allows secure and serviceable installation. A closed-cell silicone gasket seals the doorframe to the housing, and all exposed painted components can be treated with the optional antimicrobial finish.
Electrical performance is provided by a replaceable high-brightness 6500K LED light array. The luminaire receives 24V DC input from a remote-mounted 120–240V AC high power factor power supply (MRIPS-312, ordered separately). Dimming is compatible with standard 0–10V dimmers supplied by others, offering a range of 5–100%. To meet the specific requirements of MRI environments, an EMI filter is necessary and must be supplied externally.
The housing is constructed from 18-gauge aluminum with non-ferrous content, featuring hole-free, seam-welded construction and the same TGIC polyester powder coat finish with five-stage pre-treatment as the doorframe. The optional antimicrobial finish can also be applied to all exposed surfaces of the installed luminaire. Installation accommodates standard 1" or 1.5" T-bar ceilings and includes hardware for securing hanger wire. A Regress Kit is available to raise the fixture 2" for an enhanced architectural appearance. All power and signal wiring must be shielded in grounded conduit to maintain MRI compatibility.
The lens is a smooth 0.177" acrylic panel, adhered to the doorframe with high-strength acrylic adhesive to ensure stability and uniform light distribution. The luminaire has been certified to UL1598 and UL8750 standards for Damp Location applications by Intertek Testing Services and holds NSF2 Splash/Non-Food Zone certification. Photometric testing has been performed according to IESNA LM-79-08 standards by an ILAC/ISO17025 accredited laboratory, and the product complies with the Build America, Buy America Act.
The optional Regressed Frame Kit accessory is constructed from one-piece 0.08" thick seamless aluminum with a TGIC polyester powder coat finish in matte white or black. This accessory provides a simple installation method to achieve an architectural skylight effect by raising the fixture 2" above standard T-bar grid ceilings, enhancing both aesthetic appeal and functional integration into ceiling designs.
