The HL-GEN4 DYNAMIC WHITE is the fourth-generation modular LED lighting system in GVA’s HL product series, designed for direct view or accent architectural applications. Built on the advanced COLOR-STREAM® platform, this dynamic white lighting system delivers exceptional speed and precision, with communication capabilities up to 16 times faster than traditional DMX and ultra-smooth dimming performance. At the heart of its innovation lies GVA’s proprietary INFINITY® technology, enabling the creation of ultra-long, scalable lighting circuits—supporting up to 1,177 modules or 353 meters (1,158 feet) on a single run—making it ideal for complex architectural environments that require flexibility, consistency, and seamless control.
The HL-GEN4 DYNAMIC WHITE system supports both 150 mm (6 in) and 300 mm (12 in) pixel resolutions and offers module lengths ranging from 150 mm to 1200 mm (0.5 ft to 4 ft), accommodating both linear and curved installations. Each module integrates either 12 clustered LEDs per 300 mm for optimal light blending or 16 in-line LEDs per 300 mm for use with optics, available in a wide range of beam angles including 20°, 30°, 60°, and 120°. Default correlated color temperatures (CCTs) include 2700K, 4000K, and 6500K, with the full range spanning from 2200K to 6500K. GVA’s Color-Amp® technology is embedded to provide up to three times higher output in specific CCTs by optimizing the available power, ensuring vibrant, uniform white light across a variety of architectural surfaces.
The system features power and data through-wiring via sealed push-lock connectors, maintaining consistent LED pitch between modules to eliminate dark spots. It operates efficiently in extreme temperatures from -40°C to +50°C (-40°F to +122°F) and is fully sealed to IP66 for use in dry, damp, or wet locations with 0–100% humidity. Available control protocols include Art-Net 4, sACN, DMX-512A, and DALI/DALI-2 through GVA’s Power-Data Converter (PDC-GEN5), providing flexibility for integration with advanced lighting control systems.
Mechanically, HL-GEN4 modules are built with a flame-retardant UL94-5VA polymeric body and an optically clear polycarbonate lens. Each module is designed for durability and easy installation, with sealed IP68-rated connectors and options for fixed or adjustable mounting. Cool beam operation ensures no infrared or UV radiation, enhancing safety and minimizing heat generation. With a projected LED lifetime of 115,000 hours (L70 B50 at 23°C), HL-GEN4 DYNAMIC WHITE offers a high-performance, long-lasting solution for dynamic architectural lighting requiring precise control and refined white light output.
