The MoonDish is a distinctive, low-profile evolution of the glowing MoonRing family, designed for projects that demand both elegance and compact form. With a height of only 1.5 inches, it offers a unique aesthetic while delivering high-quality performance lighting. Available in multiple mounting styles, it can seamlessly adapt to a variety of architectural applications.
The MoonDish R2S surface-mount model is engineered for installations where ceiling height is limited or where wall-mounted lighting is desired. Its streamlined profile makes it especially well-suited for spaces requiring discreet yet impactful illumination. The MoonDish R2P suspended pendant version can be specified with either a traditional aircraft cable suspension system or with a uniquely angled metal stem, providing additional design flexibility and visual interest.
Each MoonDish features a 1.5-inch side-emitting aperture with diameters available in 2-foot, 3-foot, and 4-foot sizes. Light distribution is direct and side-emitting, enabled by a sandblasted clear Lexan lens that ensures smooth, consistent output. Depending on configuration, output ranges from 1,547 to 3,201 lumens per ring, with options for static white light in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K, as well as RGB and RGBW lamping for dynamic color applications. The system delivers high performance with 57 to 104 watts of power and maintains a CRI of 80+.
Dimming and driver options are designed to support a wide range of control systems. Available drivers include 0-10V dimming down to 5%, 1%, or 0%, DMX dimming to 0%, and Lutron LTEA (TRIAC 2-Wire Phase Dimming). Drivers are located remotely, ensuring a clean fixture profile and easier integration in tight spaces.
The housing is constructed from extruded and welded 6061 architectural-grade aluminum, fully recyclable, and available in 18 standard finishes with custom color matching also offered. Designed for durability and versatility, MoonDish is suitable for dry and damp locations.
Safety and compliance are integral to the fixture’s design. All models are ETL Listed to UL 2108 and CSA C22.2 #250.0:2008 Ed. 3+G1;G2, and fixtures specified with 90 CRI and 2700K–4000K lamping paired with applicable LED drivers are capable of conforming to California Title 24 JA8 and JA10 Appendices. For enhanced health and comfort, EldoLED driver options align with the IEEE P1789 Flicker Standard, which provides recommended practices for mitigating health risks in high-brightness LEDs.
Every MoonDish includes power cables in a transparent sheathing that matches the steel aircraft suspension cables, blending seamlessly into the overall design. For projects requiring specialized cabling, custom solutions are available through customer support; however, field swapping of power cables is not permitted, as it would void the fixture’s ETL Safety Listing and warranty.
