The ECOdrive 100W compact LED driver family by eldoLED delivers programmable, digital, constant current performance with smooth flicker-safe dimming down to 1%, making it suitable for a wide range of residential, commercial, and hospitality lighting applications. This compact driver supports versatile dimming control via DALI, 0-10V, or LEDcode protocols and includes a single configurable LED output. The ECOdrive outputs can be programmed to incorporate time-based, motion-based, and brightness-based intelligence, offering precise control over lighting behavior. Wireless communications and control are available through Bluetooth-enabled Casambi and Atrius IoT systems, enabling remote and centralized management of lighting networks.

The ECOdrive 100W driver ensures natural, flicker-free dimming with smooth brightness changes, adaptable dimming curves, and configurable minimum dimming levels. Integration with LEDcode2 provides connectivity to digital accessories, supports location-based IoT applications, and enables both wired and wireless lighting control through compatible peripheral devices. Programmable features allow fine-tuning of output current and dimming levels, while performance-focused design ensures a universal input voltage range, low inrush current, minimal total harmonic distortion (THD), high power factor, and efficiency. Hybrid HydraDrive technology guarantees compatibility with camera systems, making the driver suitable for television studios, security environments, and other sensitive applications.

The input characteristics of the ECOdrive 100W driver include a nominal AC voltage range of 120-250V (ENEC) or 120-277V (UL), with absolute AC input voltage between 120-277V. DC input is rated for 120-250V. Maximum input current is 0.99A at 120V and 0.43A at 277V, with input frequency between 50-60Hz. The driver achieves 84% efficiency at full load, with a power factor above 0.95 and THD under 10%. Maximum inrush current is less than 500mA²s at 120V and less than 1000mA²s at 277V. Surge protection is rated at 2kV differential mode and 4kV common mode, with standby power under 0.5W.

On the output side, the ECOdrive 100W supports a maximum LED output power of 100W, with individual outputs rated at 77W and a programmable current range of 150-1400mA, adjustable in 1mA increments. LED output tolerance is ±5% at the programmed current, with a voltage range of 2-55V. An auxiliary output provides 15.5V-25V DC at a maximum of 18mA. Control channels include DALI-2 Device Type 6 and LEDcode2, with dimming capability from 100% down to 1%. Dimming curves are selectable as logarithmic (default) or linear, and dimming is managed through Hybrid HydraDrive technology. Standby transition occurs within 30 seconds.

For safety and reliability, the ECOdrive driver incorporates thermal protection, short-circuit recovery, overload management, reverse polarity protection, and NTC-based temperature monitoring. LED output current automatically decreases when the internal temperature exceeds preset limits and resumes when it falls below the threshold. If temperatures continue to rise, the driver will shut down. Short circuits trigger automatic restart attempts every 400ms. Overload conditions cause sequential reduction of output current to maintain safe operation, and reverse polarity prevents current flow, protecting the driver from damage. An external NTC thermistor can be connected via LEDcode/NTC terminals to reduce LED output by 75% when exceeding user-specified temperature limits, with a default limit of 70°C. This combination of advanced protection and programmability ensures safe, reliable, and precise operation for high-performance lighting systems.
