Blending retro charm with advanced technology and modern sustainability standards, the SM luminaire is designed to create a vintage aesthetic while delivering high-performance street, path, and area lighting. Its classic lantern-inspired design evokes a historic atmosphere, making it especially suitable for environments where visual heritage is a priority—but its capabilities go far beyond appearance.
The SM family offers state-of-the-art lighting performance without compromising on design integrity. Designed to preserve the character of historic spaces, the fixture can house up to four LED modules that can be rotated and configured for optimal lighting results. This flexibility allows SM to deliver tailored illumination while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of traditional lanterns.
Lighting flexibility is a defining feature of SM. It supports a wide range of luminous flux levels and beam patterns suitable for streets, walkways, and large areas. The system can be further refined with factory-installed ewoLightLayers, including integrated RBL backlight shields and AGR anti-glare protection. Each LED lighting unit is also individually adjustable by ±5°, enhancing control and precision.
Constructed for long-lasting performance, the SM features a durable aluminum housing with low copper content (≤ 0.08%) and optional corrosion protection via ewoECP. The fixture is equipped with single-pane safety glass (ESG), a stainless steel bracket, and a hot-dip galvanized steel pole with integrated cable insertion, junction box, and service door. Its finish includes a polyester powder coating in anthracite (DB 703), with additional colors available upon request.
SM supports color temperatures of cool white (5,700 K), neutral white (4,000 K), and warm white (3,000 K), and operates with current feeds from 300 mA to 600 mA depending on ambient conditions. It accommodates up to six LED lighting units (three LED PCBs), and is compatible with a variety of optical configurations, including LS33, LS34, LP33 and their satiné variants. These lenses, made of PMMA and mounted on aluminum support plates, contribute to the exceptional optical performance.
Two model variants—SM620 and SM675—are available, providing further flexibility for project-specific requirements. With over 1.7 billion possible lens combinations in the A-Series range alone, the SM family offers unmatched adaptability. Additional customizations are possible through integration with ewoLightTile and other ewo technologies.
Control options include DALI, 1–10 V, or standalone programming, with internal or external nodes enabling individual or grouped luminaire management. The SM can also be integrated into smart city infrastructures through an external Zhaga interface, making it future-ready for intelligent urban lighting systems.
