Covert Lite® represents a petite cove lighting solution that delivers powerful and even illumination. Its design allows for maximum flexibility, offering individual units, continuous runs, and the ability to create patterns to fit the unique layout of a space. Compatible with both drywall and grid ceilings, as well as pre-engineered cove ceiling solutions, Covert Lite® is ideal for hospitality areas, lobbies, and other high-visibility environments. The luminaires are capable of accommodating shallow or narrow coves, as well as sloped or arched architectural forms, with multiple profiles and a precise directional aiming mechanism that ensures the desired light distribution is achieved.
The lighting system incorporates dual adjustment mechanisms for precision targeting of illumination. The Bar adjustment allows the light bar to be tilted to maximize forward throw, while the optional Light Scoop adjustment directs additional light toward the ceiling, enhancing effects on sloped or arched surfaces. When both adjustments are used in combination, designers can dial in the ideal distribution for each cove application. A locking mechanism with a dial and adjuster, marked from positions 0 to 8, provides secure positioning and clear visibility from above, allowing for easy adjustments by hand.
The linear LED modules in Covert luminaires utilize premium LEDs mounted on a robust platform, ensuring excellent thermal management and uniform light output. Available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, or 4000K with CRI>80 or CRI>90 and 3SDCM color consistency, these modules support 0-10V dimming, with replaceable drivers and LED boards. Continuous, shadow-free illumination enhances architectural elements while maintaining high lumen outputs and efficient energy use, with some configurations achieving over 100 lumens per watt.
The construction of Covert luminaires includes a .07" thick extruded aluminum LED module housing and a 20 Ga. steel driver compartment and outer housing, with an optional adjustable light scoop made from .07" thick extruded aluminum. Units are lightweight and practical, with a 4-foot luminaire weighing approximately 9.5 lbs. Optically, continuous illumination is achieved through linear LED modules shielded by an extruded acrylic lens, and the Bar and Light Scoop can be adjusted and locked to shape the distribution and optimize the peak candela for any application.
Electrical components include a standard 120–277V constant current driver with 0-10V analog dimming, adjustable from 100% to 10%, and an optional Lutron EcoSystem dimming driver. All luminaires have a power factor greater than 0.9, and are UL and cUL listed, suitable for indoor dry or damp locations. Lumen maintenance is rated at L70 for more than 50,000 hours, ensuring long-lasting, high-quality illumination.
Covert luminaires are available in three main profiles: horizontal base (HN), horizontal base with light scoop (HS), and vertical base (VN), offering flexibility to meet various architectural and ceiling requirements. Lumen output ranges from 500 to 1250 lumens per foot, accommodating different lighting needs and energy efficiency targets. Color temperatures include 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K with either 80+ or 90+ CRI. Single circuit (1C) configurations operate on universal voltage (UNV), and dimming control options include 0-10V at 10% (LD1) or 1% (L11), as well as Lutron Hi-Lume EcoSystem 1% (LH1).
