The ALO LED floodlight series represents the new generation of professional lighting for sports facilities, stadiums, arenas, and large open areas. Developed and manufactured entirely in Italy, this family of luminaires brings together optical precision, mechanical robustness, and visual excellence to meet the demanding requirements of modern sports and entertainment venues. Beyond sports applications, the ALO floodlight transforms arenas into multifunctional spaces suitable for concerts, shows, and public events, ensuring consistent light quality and superior visual comfort across diverse configurations.

At the core of the new ALO series is a completely re-engineered optical system, designed to enhance output and performance in every aspect. Each model integrates the latest generation of high-power LED modules with source efficiency reaching up to 173 lm/W at 700 mA (Tj=85°C, 5700K), ensuring bright, uniform light and long-term reliability. With multiple color temperature options (5700K standard, 4000K and 3000K optional, CRI ≥70, with optional CRI 80 or CRI 90), the ALO floodlight adapts to the precise visual and broadcast standards required for professional sports and televised events.

The ALO SPOT optical system was developed specifically for large arenas and stadiums, incorporating symmetrical optics to achieve precise and balanced projection across playing fields. For sports facilities requiring optimal conditions for television broadcasting, the SPORT PROFESSIONAL configuration integrates LED sources with a high TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index), ensuring color accuracy and flicker-free performance suitable for HD and UHD broadcast standards.

For amateur and community sports fields, AEC developed the exclusive B-ASYMMETRIC optical system—a groundbreaking solution that maximizes efficiency while simplifying installation. Its innovative optical geometry eliminates the need for precise fixture alignment, projecting uniform light distribution across wide surfaces without glare or shadow zones. This approach enhances visual comfort for athletes and spectators while reducing the number of fixtures required, optimizing energy and installation costs.

The ALO series also introduces AEC’s patented MicroMoover barycentric mounting system, an innovative mechanical solution for suspended installation in confined spaces. This system enables flexible orientation with a primary inclination range from +20° to +75° on the horizontal plane, micro-adjustment from 0° to +10°, and full ±180° rotation on the vertical axis. It ensures precise targeting and simplified aiming during installation, even in restricted environments. For ground or pole-mounted configurations, the die-cast aluminum C-bracket provides an alternative installation option, offering adjustable tilt from +20° to +75° with 5° incremental steps and fine micro-adjustments of ±2.5° every 0.5°. The bracket can also be inverted, further enhancing mounting versatility.

Constructed for long-term endurance, the ALO floodlights combine a die-cast aluminum body and heat sink (UNI EN1706) with a galvanized, powder-coated steel frame and stainless steel springs for secure assembly. Each unit integrates a flat, 5 mm-thick tempered glass front for maximum light transmission and mechanical protection, paired with a polycarbonate optical system that ensures precision beam control. Metallic IP68-rated cable glands and silicone gaskets provide superior sealing against dust, moisture, and environmental exposure, maintaining IP66 and IK08 protection levels across all models.

The ALO 1, ALO 2, and ALO 3 variants scale in size and performance to suit different installation needs. The ALO 1 weighs up to 12.5 kg (excluding gear tray) with an exposed surface of 0.15 m², the ALO 2 reaches 22.5 kg with a 0.26 m² top surface, and the ALO 3 extends to 28 kg with a 0.34 m² surface area. Each model supports symmetrical (SP15, SP25, SP40) and asymmetrical optics (AM10, AN10, AW10, ASM, ASN, ASW, A25), as well as bidirectional configurations (BAC for central emission and BAR/BAL for right or left emission).

All models operate across a wide voltage range of 220–480V, 50/60Hz, with a power factor greater than 0.9 and flicker factor below 3%, ensuring stable and efficient electrical performance. Surge protection up to 10kV safeguards against voltage fluctuations, while control options include fixed power, constant light flux (FLC), DALI digital dimming, and ZHAGA 4-pin socket compatibility (Book 18). The ALO 3 model also adds DMX digital control, making it ideal for dynamic lighting systems in advanced stadium environments.

Gear trays are typically remote-mounted for optimal thermal management—single units for ALO 1, dual units for ALO 2, and a larger configuration for ALO 3. Optional integrated mounting over the luminaire body is available with the C-bracket version for more compact installations. Each power supply unit is housed within an IP-protected aluminum enclosure, ensuring reliable performance in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C.
