The FL100-GEN2 Color Changing Inner Mixing (FL100-G2-IM) is the latest generation architectural flood and spot luminaire within the FL product series. Built on the award-winning COLOR-STREAM® platform, this fixture offers communication speeds up to 16 times faster than traditional DMX, delivering liquid-smooth dimming and seamless color transitions. Utilizing GVA’s advanced COLOR-AMP® technology combined with in-optic light mixing, the FL100-G2-IM achieves superior color uniformity and up to three times the light output compared to conventional multichannel luminaires. This powerful yet compact luminaire provides outstanding flexibility for realizing creative visions in architectural wall washing, grazing, and spot lighting applications.
The FL100-G2-IM features 18 quad-chip LEDs, which, through in-optic mixing, produce a remarkably uniform and vibrant color output. It delivers up to 3,360 lumens per channel with narrow beam angles starting as tight as 10 degrees, ideal for precise accent and architectural lighting effects. The COLOR-STREAM® platform supports high-speed communication at 6.25 Mbps, up to 120 frames per second refresh rates, and 12-bit dimming resolution, enabling flicker-free, smooth dimming and transitions. Thanks to GVA’s INFINITY® technology, up to 39 FL100-GEN2 fixtures can be run in a single continuous chain, with leader and jumper cables extending up to 100 meters (328 feet). Power and data through-wiring are conveniently achieved via sealed push lock connectors, ensuring secure and efficient installation.
Designed to perform in extreme environments, the fixture operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°C (-40°F) to +50°C (122°F), with inherent progressive thermal protection. It meets the ANSI C136.31-2018 vibration standard for bridge and overpass applications, making it suitable for demanding architectural projects. The compact dimensions of 277 mm x 305 mm x 94 mm (10.9 in x 12.0 in x 3.7 in) and a lightweight build of 7 kg (15.4 lbs) facilitate versatile mounting options, while the ultra-weatherable, UV-resistant diecast aluminum housing with AAMA 2604-compliant powder coating ensures long-lasting durability. The fixture is rated IP66 for use in dry, damp, and wet locations, and it carries a five-year limited warranty.
The FL100-G2-IM supports multiple color changing configurations including RGBW30K and RGBA, offering an impressive selection of 13 symmetrical and elliptical optical distributions. Optical accessories are available to control glare, further enhancing its application versatility. The luminaire accepts a wide range of input voltages including INF (380 V DC), ELV (48 V DC), and various AC inputs (100 V to 277 V AC), and can be controlled via Art-Net 4, sACN, DMX-512A, and DALI 2 protocols through GVA’s Power-Data Converter PDC-G5. The standard housing colors include white, silver, and black, with custom colors available upon request. Adjustable mounting hardware and custom configurations can be provided to meet specific project needs.
Each fixture is controlled through four channels and is fully dimmable and controllable by default. GVA’s proprietary COLOR-STREAM® communication protocol supports refresh rates up to 120 Hz (defaulted to 60 Hz) and 12-bit dimming resolution, offering 4,096 micro-steps per color channel for exceptionally smooth dimming and color transitions. The lighting operates silently with no audible noise across the entire dimming range. Additionally, the dimming curve is configurable with an exponential response that closely matches the human eye’s perception of brightness changes. With an expected lifetime of over 50,000 hours (L70 B50 at 25°C), the FL100-G2-IM combines advanced technology, superior color performance, and robust design, making it an ideal solution for demanding architectural lighting applications.
