The STR9® GEN3 Dynamic White is a high-performance linear LED luminaire designed for wall washing and grazing applications, offering dynamic white light capabilities with exceptional reliability and durability. Engineered for both exterior and interior architectural lighting, it delivers outstanding lighting uniformity and color consistency, making it ideal for a wide range of demanding environments. The fixture produces up to 3514 lumens per meter (1071 lumens per foot) and enables precise control over color temperature, ranging from 2200K to 6000K. This is made possible through a 4-in-1 LED package that combines multiple white points within a single source, ensuring smooth and accurate color temperature blending without striations or visual separation.
Built with GVA’s proprietary COLOR-AMP® technology, the STR9® GEN3 Dynamic White achieves up to three times the output in specific color temperature ranges, maintaining homogenous light output immediately adjacent to the luminaire. Its consistent LED pitch across and between fixtures eliminates dark gaps and ensures continuous, seamless illumination along surfaces.
The fixture is compact in size, measuring just 63 mm (2.5 in) in height and 71 mm (2.8 in) in width. It features GVA’s signature UNIBODY™ construction, machined from a single aluminum extrusion with no seams or endcaps. This solid body, combined with a proprietary sealing process and optically clear tempered glass lens, achieves an IP66 rating and ensures long-term reliability, even in harsh environments. Each luminaire undergoes electronic micro leak detection testing to guarantee hermetic sealing, while compliance with the 3G ANSI C136.31-2010 vibration standard ensures resilience in bridge and overpass applications. The design is IK06 rated by default, with IK10-rated accessories available upon request.
Designed for long service life, the STR9® GEN3 Dynamic White offers a projected L70 lifetime of over 65,000 hours at an ambient temperature of 50°C (122°F). Operating temperatures range from -40°C to +50°C (-40°F to 122°F), and the fixture is available in multiple power configurations—10W, 15W, or 20W per 300mm (1ft)—and a wide range of nominal lengths, from 300mm (1ft) to 1500mm (5ft). Power source options include 48VDC, 120VAC, 220–240VAC, 277VAC, and 380VDC.
Control is achieved via a 4-channel DMX protocol, with 300mm resolution allowing each 1ft segment to be individually addressed. The fixture supports self-addressing via GVA’s power-data equipment. A variety of symmetrical and elliptical beam distributions are available, with optional accessories such as adjustable and fixed mounting brackets and glare control louvers. Body finishes include black matte, clear matte anodized, or custom color options.
