This dimmable constant current LED driver operates as an independent device with a strain-relief housing, offering a compact solution for constrained installation conditions, such as small ceiling cut-outs and low ceiling voids. Its extra-flat form factor allows easy integration into tight spaces while maintaining reliable performance. The driver supports dimming via both leading edge and trailing edge phase dimmers, with trailing edge dimming providing a significant noise advantage compared to leading edge. The dimming range spans from 5 to 100%, depending on the connected dimmer, making it suitable for precise light level control. It is compatible with luminaires rated F, M, and MM according to EN 60598, VDE 0710, and VDE 0711, delivering a maximum output power of 21 W at a fixed output current of 500 mA. The driver has a nominal lifetime of up to 50,000 hours, ensuring long-term reliability.

The housing is constructed from white polycarbonate, offering robust protection with an IP20 rating. Installation is simplified with push-in terminals and two separate strain relief sections for input and output cables, each equipped with highly durable clamps. The driver is designed to prevent output current overshoot during mains on/off events, ensuring safe operation for sensitive LED systems.

This LED driver incorporates comprehensive protective features, including overload protection, short-circuit protection, and no-load protection, maintaining operational safety under various conditions. It operates at a rated supply voltage of 220–240 V AC with an AC voltage range of 198–264 V and a mains frequency of 50/60 Hz. Overvoltage protection is provided up to 320 V AC for one hour. Electrical performance is characterized by a total harmonic distortion (THD) of less than 12% at minimum load and less than 10% at full load. The starting and turn-off times at full load are both 0.5 seconds or less, and the hold-on time at power failure is zero seconds. The output low-frequency current ripple remains within ±3%, with output P_ST_LM and SVM values of ≤1 and ≤0.4, respectively, ensuring stable LED operation.

The driver exhibits strong surge and burst resilience, with mains surge capability of 1 kV between L–N, 2 kV between L/N–PE, a mains burst capability of 1 kV, and surge voltage at the output side against PE up to 2.5 kV. It can withstand storage temperatures ranging from –40 to 80 °C, and comes with a 5-year manufacturer guarantee, supporting dependable, long-term operation in a wide range of indoor lighting applications.
