The LED emergency module is a compact, fully integrated lighting solution developed for direct installation in ceilings, ensuring reliable emergency functionality while maintaining a clean architectural appearance. It is supplied as a complete unit incorporating precision LED optics, advanced control electronics, and a long-life Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. Designed for simplicity and reliability, the unit performs automatic self-testing to ensure constant operational readiness. Its small housing dimensions allow for a ceiling cut-out diameter of 68–72 mm and a fixture height of just 100 mm, making it ideal for installations where space is limited. Once installed, the module achieves an IP65 protection rating, safeguarding it against dust and moisture ingress and ensuring dependable performance in demanding environments.

Built to meet rigorous safety and performance standards, the module operates at a rated supply voltage of 220–240 V and supports input voltage tolerances ranging from 198–264 V for safety and 198–254 V for performance. It accommodates both 50 Hz and 60 Hz mains frequencies, ensuring broad compatibility across installation environments. The device includes integrated overvoltage protection up to 320 V for 48 hours, ensuring secure operation under unstable power conditions. In the event of a mains failure, the module activates emergency operation in less than 0.5 seconds, ensuring instant response during power outages.

The optical and electrical design ensures stable light quality, with an output power range of 2–3 W and very low stand-by power loss to maintain energy control. Its LED light source delivers a neutral 6,500 K color temperature, ensuring effective visibility during emergencies. The color consistency remains within 3 SDCM, while the color rendering index exceeds CRI 80, ensuring clear visual perception and object recognition in critical situations. The luminous system operates with an output current tolerance of ±5% and low LF current ripple for stable output.

Built for safety and durability, the module conforms to EN 60598-2-22 standards for emergency lighting changeover performance. It achieves an IP20 protection class at the electrical assembly level and an IK03 impact resistance rating, ensuring resilience against minor physical impacts. The protection class II construction ensures double insulation for enhanced user safety. The ambient temperature range extends from +5°C to +40°C, allowing operation in standard indoor conditions.

The emergency function is available in non-maintained variants with a rated duration of 3 hours, ensuring prolonged operation during power interruptions. The plug-in Lithium Iron Phosphate battery ensures stable discharge characteristics, safety, and long service life, while allowing easy replacement when necessary. A replaceable bezel offers aesthetic flexibility, with a black finish available as an option. The unit’s EoFI (Emergency Output Factor Indicator) of 1.0 ensures consistent emergency lighting performance. With a rated lifetime of up to 50,000 hours, this LED emergency module represents a robust, low-maintenance solution for modern ceiling installations requiring compact form, high reliability, and enduring light quality.
