This sensor module is a Casambi Ready device designed for seamless integration into Casambi wireless lighting control systems, enabling intelligent and flexible management of indoor lighting environments. It operates through Bluetooth 4.0 communication, forming an automatic wireless mesh network that supports up to 250 interconnected nodes, allowing extensive coverage and reliable data transmission across large installations. Control is effortless using an Android or iOS smart device, offering users convenient access to configuration, scheduling, and monitoring functions through the Casambi app.

The device features both a motion and light sensor, allowing precise detection of occupancy and ambient light levels for energy-conscious and responsive lighting control. It supports a digital output interface compatible with IEC 62386 (DALI-2) drivers, ensuring smooth interoperability within DALI-based systems. Power is supplied through an IEC 62386 compatible power supply, maintaining consistency with modern lighting control infrastructure. The sensor also supports wireless firmware updates, ensuring future compatibility and performance improvements without physical maintenance.

Its design adheres to Zhaga Book 20 standards, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of luminaire interfaces and accessories. The device’s construction enables additional external mounting options, enhancing installation flexibility in diverse luminaire designs. A defined antenna position outside the luminaire housing ensures optimal radio signal distribution, maintaining strong communication links even in challenging environments. The sensor achieves a lifetime of up to 50,000 hours at a case temperature (tc) of 60°C, emphasizing long-term reliability and low maintenance requirements.

Constructed from durable polycarbonate, the sensor housing is available in black or white finishes to blend seamlessly with various luminaire aesthetics. It has an IP20 protection rating, making it suitable for indoor in-built applications where reliable operation and discreet integration are priorities.

Technically, the sensor operates at a supply voltage between 9.5 and 22.5 V and supports a radio transceiver frequency range of 2.4–2.483 GHz with a maximum output power below +20 dBm. The PIR detection angle covers 84 degrees, while the light measurement detection angle ranges from 30 to 60 degrees, offering balanced sensitivity for both motion and light control. The detection range for light measurement spans 10 to 2000 lux, providing accurate readings for adaptive lighting adjustments. Designed for mounting heights up to 5 meters, the sensor ensures effective coverage in offices, corridors, and commercial interiors.

Additional operational parameters include a minimum temperature difference of ±4°C between ambient and detected objects for reliable motion detection and a storage temperature range from -20°C to +60°C for safe handling and long-term durability. The product comes with a five-year guarantee, underscoring its quality, longevity, and suitability for professional lighting applications.
