Each Sun Home luminaire is completely unique, shaped to recall the silhouette of the human torso, giving it both a friendly and expressive character. The natural wood grain ensures no two pieces are alike, while a laser-engraved edition number marks every lamp as an exclusive creation. For every Sun Home purchased, GRAU supports global reforestation efforts by planting a tree in Kenya in collaboration with the Eden Reforestation Projects as part of the Trillion Tree Campaign. Handcrafted with exceptional care, the body of Sun Home is made from ash wood that is glued, milled, sanded, and stained by hand, then finished with a transparent protective lacquer. The natural qualities of the wood allow it to age gracefully over time, further enhancing its uniqueness. The sculptural form combines with mouth-blown glass to create an elegant interplay of organic warmth and refined craftsmanship.
At the heart of Sun Home’s design is Sunset Dimming, a distinctive lighting experience that transitions across a wide spectrum, from a clear warm white to a deep, soothing Sunset Orange. This light spectrum is proven to increase the body’s production of melatonin, the hormone responsible for relaxation, thereby supporting a healthy biological rhythm and providing a calming effect on both body and mind. Particularly in the evening, this feature helps create an atmosphere of ultimate wellbeing.
