Its adaptable form factor allows it to serve as either an individual luminaire or part of continuous row mounting, ensuring design flexibility across a wide range of applications. Shielding options include corrugated or solid regressed trims, as well as a flush frosted lens, giving designers multiple choices to control aesthetics and light distribution. The fixture provides comfortable, uniform general illumination while complementing both the ceiling and overall architectural environment.
Avenue 6 is fully compatible with modern building control systems through Focal Point’s Connected Solutions platform. The luminaire integrates with both wired and wireless lighting control networks, enabling features such as daylight harvesting, occupancy sensing, HVAC integration, and individual task-level controls. These capabilities allow building owners and operators to monitor and modulate light levels and energy use, reducing operational costs while maximizing occupant comfort. All zoning can be digitally reconfigured through software, making the system adaptable to changing requirements.
Performance is ensured through a proprietary linear LED module that incorporates premium LEDs on a robust thermal management platform. These LEDs are carefully positioned to maintain a uniform appearance, delivering outputs of 375, 625, 875, or 1000 lumens per foot. Color temperatures are available in 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K, with CRI options greater than 80 or 90, ensuring excellent color rendering and consistency within 3 SDCM. Modules and drivers are replaceable from below, supporting long-term serviceability.
Construction is centered on durability and precision. The Avenue 6 features a one-piece 20-gauge steel housing with thermal protection suitable for new construction applications. Insulation must be kept three inches from the housing to maintain performance. Corrugated and solid regressed trims are crafted from 6063-T5 extruded aluminum finished in Matte Satin White, while universal flange rails and positional brackets provide secure installation. At 15 pounds per 4-foot unit, the system balances strength with manageable weight. The optical system consists of high-reflectance white powder-coated steel reflectors and a frosted clear acrylic lens diffuser, providing smooth, shadow-free illumination.
The luminaire is designed to meet stringent operational and safety standards. It offers emergency battery backup delivering 10 watts for 90 minutes, supporting mounting heights up to 20 feet. It is UL and cUL listed, suitable for dry and damp locations, and intended for indoor use only. Its polyester powder-coated finish is applied over a multi-stage pre-treatment for durability. Reported lumen maintenance exceeds L70 at 60,000 hours, with calculated performance extending beyond 68,000 hours, while L90 performance is maintained beyond 21,000 hours.
Electrical and control flexibility are core strengths of Avenue 6. Options include 0–10V dimming down to 10% or 1%, Lutron Hi-Lume EcoSystem dimming, step dimming, Wattstopper DLM and fixture sensors, Acuity nLight, Encelium CLM, Current NX, and WaveLinx Pro systems. These integrations support a wide range of smart building infrastructures. While thru-wiring is not available, the luminaire can be specified with emergency circuits that integrate seamlessly with Connected Solutions components.
Ceiling compatibility includes drywall flange, multiple lay-in and tegular options for 15/16" and 9/16" grids, as well as specialty slot-tee and tall-profile configurations. Factory options extend customization with Chicago Plenum certification, flex whip connections for both standard and NYC applications, and emergency battery integration. Available in 4-foot and 8-foot nominal housing lengths, Avenue 6 supports scalable and adaptable layouts to meet diverse project requirements.
