The Flow post-top LED light is a highly versatile urban lighting solution designed to deliver optimal performance, comfort, and aesthetic appeal across a wide range of applications. Offering luminous outputs of up to 15,360 lumens and efficiencies of up to 155 lumens per watt, Flow provides reliable, high-performance illumination suitable for streets, roads, plazas, parks, footpaths, car parks, and other public spaces. Its wide optical range includes Street R-PEC and Area lighting optics, with 26 light distributions available in both symmetrical and asymmetrical variants, and performance clear or prismatic comfort options. Standard color temperatures span 4000 K, 3000 K, 2700 K, and 2200 K, with optional internal backlight control louvres for further refinement of light quality. Flow is equipped with a 10 kV surge protection device as standard, ensuring durability in urban electrical environments.
Flow is engineered to accommodate six mounting variants: post-top amenity, post-top, lateral, suspended, wall-mounted, and catenary configurations. The post-top street variant supports spigots of Ø60 mm or Ø76 mm, while lateral mounting is possible on Ø60 mm or Ø42 mm columns, with tilting capabilities from -20° to +10° depending on the variant. The amenity version can be mounted on Ø60 mm or Ø76 mm columns using adaptors, while suspended installation is supported via 34G systems. These mounting options, combined with tilting adjustments, allow designers to achieve optimal light placement and uniformity in diverse urban contexts.
As an IDA Dark Sky Approved luminaire (certification applies to ≤3000 K and clear enclosures with ±10° maximum tilt), Flow respects nocturnal ecosystems by minimizing light pollution while providing comfortable, warm lighting for pedestrians and residents. The luminaire’s color temperatures of 3000 K, 2700 K, and 2200 K promote a welcoming atmosphere, balancing urban safety with ecological responsibility. Its high degree of configurability in optics, dimming, and control options—including DALI, bi-power, power-line, and wireless UrbaSens intelligent controls—ensures energy efficiency while providing adaptive lighting tailored to the dynamic requirements of urban life. Presence detection allows Flow to modulate output based on the movement of pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles, contributing to safety, wellbeing, and energy savings.
Flow’s design emphasizes consistency and visual harmony across the urban environment. Its architectural language and unified appearance make it suitable for a wide range of city spaces, whether in new developments or retrofit projects. The luminaire is available with different mast configurations, mounting styles, and heights, accommodating various installation requirements while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. The flexibility of Flow ensures that the same design can be applied across streets, residential areas, city centres, sports and education facilities, industrial sites, and open spaces, creating a recognizable identity for urban areas.
Optical performance is a central feature of Flow. The standard optic is designed for higher-mounted applications such as roads and streets, delivering uniform illumination with excellent glare control. For lower-height areas like parks and plazas, the OLO® optic provides enhanced visual comfort through a diffuser that scatters light evenly and eliminates visible LED points. When combined with a backlight-control louvre, the R-PEC optic reduces backlighting by up to 20%, minimizing obtrusive light toward buildings and improving the nighttime quality of life for residents without affecting the luminaire’s design.
The luminaire is constructed from high-quality materials for longevity and resilience. Housing, canopy, and spigots are made from die-cast aluminium, with MCA and MSU variants manufactured from EN AC-47100 and others from EN AC-44300. Screws are treated with Geomet anti-galvanic coating, and select variants achieve standard corrosion class C5 according to ISO 9223:2012. Powder-coated texturized anthracite grey (RAL7043) is standard, with over 50 additional RAL color options available. Glass components are 6 mm thick, and all fixings are stainless steel with anti-galvanic treatment to ensure durability in harsh urban environments.
Flow is designed to provide not just light, but intelligent, adaptable illumination that supports the complex dynamics of modern cities. Its integration with UrbaSens smart control systems allows for management from single luminaires to large networks, enabling precise control over groups, energy monitoring, fault reporting, and adaptive motion scenarios. By combining aesthetic elegance, technical versatility, and intelligent functionality, Flow offers a comprehensive urban lighting solution that enhances safety, comfort, and the visual identity of public spaces while minimizing energy consumption and environmental impact.
