Available in 2x2 and 4x4 flush models, SkyeScape enables a wide range of rectilinear, daylight-inspired ceiling compositions. When installed side by side, the seamless shield conceals ceiling grid T-bars, resulting in a continuous glowing surface that is both functional and architecturally refined. Decorative round fasteners made of brushed aluminum secure the 1/2" acrylic shield, adding a touch of sophistication to the clean, modern design. SkyeScape is compatible with both T-grid and drywall ceilings and features a shallow 3 1/2" housing depth, making it ideal for spaces with narrow or cluttered plenums.
The SkyeScape luminaire delivers outstanding performance through its acrylic crystal glass optics and high-reflectance post-painted steel reflectors. The housing is constructed from 20-gauge die-formed cold rolled steel, supported by an integrated hold-down clip and drywall flange kit made of extruded aluminum. The lens provides even, glare-free illumination that mimics the visual effect of natural light, offering a visually pleasing lighting experience that enhances any interior environment.
To support a wide range of lighting control strategies, SkyeScape is available with multiple advanced driver options. These include Lutron Hi-lume (LDE1), DALI, DMX, Xitanium SR for wireless sensors, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) configurations from vendors such as MOLEX, IGOR, and SMARTENGINE. BIOS integration is also supported, with both static (STC) and dynamic (DYN) SkyBlue® solutions. BIOS Bio-Dimming™ dynamically adjusts the spectral quality of the light, eliminating the SkyBlue component during dimming transitions for a reduced CCT effect down to 2700K. BIOS Tunable White (BTW) options allow independent control of both CCT and intensity, supporting configurations like 4000K–2700K and 3500K–2700K ranges.
SkyeScape supports color temperatures of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K, all within a 3-step MacAdam ellipse for excellent color consistency both within and between fixtures. The luminaire achieves a minimum CRI of 80 or 90, with BIOS models offering R9 values above 75 across all supported CCTs. Axitune® color tuning systems are also available, offering further flexibility in architectural lighting design.
Engineered for durability and longevity, SkyeScape features robust thermal management through its aluminum housing, which acts as a heat sink to maximize LED life. It offers a minimum of 50,000 hours of operation with 85% lumen maintenance at a 25°C ambient temperature, in compliance with IES LM-80 standards. The luminaire is certified for dry and damp indoor locations and can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). It meets UL and CSA standards, is IC-rated for insulated ceilings, and is compliant with both Chicago Plenum (CCEA) and NYC requirements.
