By dispersing light over twice the surface area, it significantly reduces contrast, which helps to minimize visual strain—particularly in high-output environments. Edge 2’s corner system is thoughtfully designed with both inside lit corners and outside cast corners. For optimal illumination at interior angles, inside corners are fully integrated into the linear lighting sections with mitered ends that connect seamlessly to adjacent modules. While these interior corners emit light, the outside corners use unlit diecast metal hubs to maintain pattern continuity and structural integrity between segments.
Technologically advanced, Edge 2 supports multiple control and power configurations. It is compatible with Lutron’s Hi-lume 1% EcoSystem driver with Soft-on, Fade-to-Black capabilities, and supports other control protocols such as DALI, DMX, and Xitanium SR for wireless sensor integration. Power over Ethernet (PoE) options are also available, including compatibility with systems like MOLEX, IGOR, and SMARTENGINE. Certified to UL2108 for both integral and remote drivers, Edge 2 is equipped for modern smart-building environments. Optional integral emergency battery packs or emergency circuit integration can also be specified, ensuring code compliance and reliability in critical applications.
Edge 2 provides performance-driven lighting with outputs up to 1000 lumens per foot for direct illumination and up to 1100 lumens per foot for indirect lighting. With efficacies reaching up to 146 lumens per watt, it combines energy efficiency with high-quality light output.
