The Crescent version of the MoonRing luminaire is composed of individually formed quarter arcs that bring a sculptural, three-dimensional quality to architectural lighting. Available in several sizes with either 1.5-inch or 3-inch apertures, these fixtures can be specified to match a wide range of project requirements. The MR1.5 Crescent allows for short or tall wall combinations and is also offered with optional two-tone finishes, providing designers with additional opportunities for creative expression.
The system is engineered with remarkable flexibility, offering quarter-ring arcs in radii ranging from 24 inches to 96 inches. Configurations can be suspended or ceiling mounted, accommodating diverse installation conditions. Luminous performance is equally adaptable, with white LED packages delivering from 750 to 14,175 lumens, tunable white spanning from 2700K to 6500K, and full-color solutions available in RGB or RGB+W. Designers can select either direct or direct+indirect distributions, with Lambertian output provided as the standard. Power consumption ranges between 11 and 140 watts, and color quality is maintained through CRI options of 80 or 90+. An extra-diffused opal acrylic lens ensures smooth, leak-free illumination, while the milled lens design enhances visual comfort and overall light quality.
Control and dimming systems have been designed with seamless integration in mind. Remote drivers are compatible with 0-10V dimming down to 5%, 1%, or 0%, as well as DALI and DMX protocols. Additional options include Lutron EcoSystem with LDE1 dimming to 1% featuring Soft-on and Fade-to-Black, forward-phase dimming, and Power over Ethernet configurations. Broader compatibility extends to control platforms such as Lutron Vive, Enlighted, EldoLED, nLight, Osram, and Philips, with further options available upon request.
A variety of mounting solutions further expand the fixture’s design potential. The Standard Suspension system provides a 4.5-inch white canopy at each power feed, bullet mounts, and 8-foot aircraft cables, with a 2-inch canopy option for T-bar mounting and extended cable lengths available as needed. For projects seeking a streamlined aesthetic, the Central Axis Suspension consolidates all aircraft cables and power feeds into a single 4.5-inch canopy, requiring an 18-inch clearance from ceiling to fixture. The Central Collared Suspension provides a more dramatic architectural presence with a 15-inch decorative collar finished to match the fixture body, channeling all feeds and cables through a 5-inch canopy. Ceiling mounting is available for horizontal installations only and uses three low-profile brackets per fixture, increasing height by just 0.27 inches with surface hardware. For projects requiring enhanced stability, seismic bracing can be added with specialized clamps, hooks, and aircraft cable assemblies. All suspended options are supplied with standard 4.5-inch white canopies at power feed locations, with canopy finish always specified as white.
Durability and finish quality are central to the design of these luminaires. Each housing is constructed from extruded and welded 6061 aluminum with a minimum wall thickness of 0.075 inches, ensuring structural strength and long-term resilience while maintaining recyclability. Fixtures are offered in 17 standard finishes, with special-order and custom color matching available for complete design integration.
The Crescent quarter-ring luminaires are ETL listed to UL 2108 and CSA C22.2#250.0:2008 Ed. 3+G1;G2 standards and are suitable for dry locations. With advanced engineering, robust construction, and a wide spectrum of customizable performance options, these sculptural luminaires are designed to merge artistry and precision, creating impactful architectural lighting that performs as beautifully as it looks.
