The F–System is a highly adaptable luminaire family designed by Jörg Boner, available in three scalable sizes—XS, S, and M—to meet a wide range of architectural lighting needs. Its timeless and minimalistic design contributes to its popularity, allowing it to blend seamlessly into diverse urban and architectural contexts. A hallmark of the F–System is its unbeatable adaptability. With configurations of up to 10 modules, each containing 16 LEDs, and alignment options at 0° or 180°, it offers precise control over light direction and intensity. This versatility is further enhanced by a broad range of beam distributions and color temperatures, enabling both static and dynamic lighting solutions from any light point height. Whether illuminating pathways, plazas, or façades, the F–System ensures optimal performance in every setting.
To further refine the lighting experience, the F–System supports the integration of ewoLightLayers, such as RBL (backlight shield) and AGR (anti-glare protection), which can be factory-installed. These enhancements ensure visual comfort and compliance with urban lighting requirements. Intelligence-readiness is another core feature: all smart technologies—including nodexx modules, antennas, and sensors—can be discreetly housed within the luminaire body to preserve its clean, understated design. For broader system compatibility, both Zhaga and Nema sockets can be attached, enabling smooth integration into smart city infrastructures.
The system supports two optical platforms: the A–Series and the T–Series. The A–Series offers luminous flux levels up to 17,100 lm with a wide range of color temperatures (from 2,200 K to 5,700 K) and control interfaces such as DALI, 1–10 V, stand-alone programming, or Line Switch. It also supports Constant Lumen Output (CLO) and emergency power supply options. The T–Series, in contrast, is optimized for tunable white (2,200–6,500 K) with up to 4,600 lm output, controlled via a DALI T8 interface.
The combination of modular LED units and advanced optical control makes the F–System capable of delivering up to 1.8 billion lens combinations in the A–Series alone. Paired with optional components like ewoLightTile and smart control systems, this flexibility enables highly customized, energy-efficient lighting.
