Architectural Linear LED Pendant Light with High CRI and 3-Step Dimming Control

Aperture delivers a compelling fusion of performance, design, and value through two distinct aesthetic forms that seamlessly combine architectural geometry with advanced photometric engineering. At its core lies a revolutionary ocular Anidolic optic that emits precisely balanced light to both hemispheres, offering three versatile distribution options: Indirect/Direct (75 Up | 25 Down), Mainly Direct (25 Up | 75 Down), and Fully Direct (100 Down). This innovation enables a visually elegant and high-performing lighting solution that prioritizes occupant comfort while maintaining exceptional energy efficiency.

The optical system starts by homogenizing light from linear LED arrays into a clean, regressed ring of illumination, effectively eliminating visible LED point sources. Anidolic optics engineered for 75% and 100% downlight variants provide controlled batwing distributions for optimal light spread and glare control. Additionally, a wide-angle indirect distribution allows for generous fixture spacing—up to 15 feet on center—while achieving a uniform, luminous ceiling plane, maximizing comfort and minimizing energy use to less than 0.40 W/ft².

Crafted with precision-machined, architectural-grade extruded aluminum components, Aperture's housing ensures a seamless aesthetic with factory-installed joints and endcaps for a perfect finish. Endcap style choices include Radius and Flat, both of which arrive preinstalled. Housings are available in clear anodized aluminum or powder-coated finishes in white, metallic silver, or black, with custom RAL finishes also available upon request.

The Aperture system is designed for flexible application, whether as a standalone pendant or as a continuous linear system. Fixtures are available in nominal 4 ft, 6 ft, and 8 ft lengths and can be configured into any run length starting at 4 ft, increasing in 2 ft increments. Sections join seamlessly, maintaining a consistent visual rhythm with seven voids or cells per 2 ft, contributing to the architectural cadence of the space.

Installation is streamlined with no electrical connections required at fixture joints. Pre-wired and tested drivers are fully integrated into the luminaire’s power junction box, suspension, and mounting system. These components are designed to support a variety of ceiling types including grid, drywall, or hard-lid applications, and they enable straightforward orientation in both new construction and retrofit scenarios.

Optically, Aperture features circular light extraction elements within its Anidolic structures, leveraging high-transmittance clear acrylic lenses and highly reflective white polymer cells for maximum output and control. The mid-flux LED system is built for longevity, with a typical TM21-rated lumen maintenance of L90 at 60,000 hours. It is offered in color temperatures of 3000K, 3500K, and 4000K, and is available with CRI options of 80+ (R9 ≥ 0) or 90+ (R9 ≥ 50), with all variants held to a tight binning tolerance of ≤2 SDCM for superior color consistency.

Aperture’s electrical performance is equally refined. It includes high-efficiency, multivolt drivers (120–277V, with transformer option for 347V) integrated within the mounting and suspension system. Power factor exceeds 0.90, with total harmonic distortion kept below 20%. Dimming capabilities include a standard 3% level, with options for 1% or 0.1% low-end dimming. Surge protection meets ANSI C82.11 and ANSI/IEEE C62.41 standards, and inrush current is compliant with NEMA 410.

For emergency readiness, Aperture supports an optional battery pack delivering 10W Class 2 output for 90 minutes. A Generator Transfer Device (GTD) is also available, which overrides dimming control to provide full light output during emergency operation on 120–277V systems.

Aperture is engineered for dry or damp indoor locations with ambient temperatures ranging from 0–30°C (32–86°F). It should not be used in environments containing chlorine, ammonia, sulfur, alcohol, or harsh solvents, nor in natatoriums such as pools or saunas. The fixture can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth to maintain appearance and performance.

Combining sleek geometry with proprietary optical precision, Aperture opens the door to expansive design freedom and application versatility. Developed with accessible pricing, quick 7-day shipping, and a wide range of options—all with no added cost—Aperture enables lighting professionals to meet their design goals without compromise. Whether used independently or as a part of a continuous lighting system, Aperture provides a powerful and refined solution for today’s architectural lighting challenges.
