The ADJ Lighting Dotz Par RGBL is a compact yet powerful wash fixture that harnesses the popularity of Chip On Board (C.O.B.) LED technology, first introduced in the original Dotz Par, and takes it to the next level. Featuring a 16 x 3.5-watt RGBL C.O.B. LED engine—comprised of red, green, blue, and lime diodes—this next-generation model delivers a smooth, even field of light with impressive lumen density, high CRI output, and enhanced color mixing capabilities. The addition of lime extends the color gamut and significantly improves the fixture’s ability to produce tunable white light from 2700K to 6500K, offering clarity, vibrancy, and accuracy ideal for illuminating performers and scenic elements.
The Dotz Par RGBL is engineered to provide a highly efficient and uniform output without color shifts, outperforming conventional SMD LED fixtures. It features 16-bit fine color control for precise shade selection and includes 64 built-in color macros, along with five preset white color temperatures for quick access to commonly used tones. Its default 35-degree beam angle can be modified to a flood output by removing the lens secured with thumbscrews. With a light output of 1102 lumens, 957 lux at 3 meters, and a CRI of 85.3 (R9 of 79.1), it’s a reliable choice for both temporary and permanent lighting applications.
Physically, the fixture is lightweight at just 4.41 lbs. (2 kg) and has a compact design that’s well-suited for small stages, nightclubs, churches, and mobile productions. Its durable plastic casing and flexible scissor yoke allow it to be either floor-mounted or truss-hung using a clamp (sold separately). Rubber feet on the rear panel make it ideal for uplighting walls or décor elements, while its side-mounted 5-pin DMX and IEC power input/output sockets ensure clean and convenient cable management. The power output connection allows multiple units to be daisy-chained (up to 30 fixtures at 120V or 57 at 230V), making system integration easy and efficient.
Control-wise, the Dotz Par RGBL offers a user-friendly 4-button DMX display and supports both DMX and RDM protocols. It includes six operational modes—Static Color, RGBL Dimmer, Program, Sound Active, Wireless RF, and DMX—as well as six dimming modes (Standard, Stage, TV, Architectural, Theatre, and Stage 2) and four selectable dimming curves (Linear, Square, Inverse Square, and S-Curve). Additional effects include LED pulse, strobe, and smooth 0–100% electronic dimming. With a 1200Hz refresh rate, it’s also suitable for use in TV and film production environments.
