The EVO® 6" Round Vandal Resistant LED Downlight is a robust solution for applications demanding both durability and precise general lighting. Engineered for vandal and tamper resistance, this recessed downlight combines high-quality materials, advanced optics, and versatile controls to meet the needs of commercial, institutional, and specialty spaces. The fixture’s batwing optical distribution ensures a uniform, wide-angled light across horizontal and vertical surfaces, producing smooth edges and a consistent layer of light without hot spots or rings. Cutoff is maintained at 45°, and the open downlight design accommodates very narrow to wide beam angles. Trim options include glass or polycarbonate lenses, allowing for aesthetic and functional customization.

The EVO® 6" Round LED Downlight delivers lumen outputs ranging from 250 to 4,500 lumens, supporting multiple layers of general lighting within a space. Bounding Ray™ technology eliminates flash and improves glare control for comfortable visual environments. The luminaire is CSA listed for wet locations and is rated IP55 standard, with an IP65 rating when silicone is applied during installation. Drivers are available in up to ten options, including 0-10V, DALI, digital, and DMX protocols, enabling seamless integration with wired or wireless nLight® controls. An optional emergency battery backup is also available, enhancing safety and code compliance.

Constructed for resilience, the housing features marine-grade die-cast aluminum bezels with low-copper alloy composition and stainless steel Torx® T20 tamper-resistant screws. One-piece closed-cell silicone gaskets provide secure sealing against environmental factors, while the optical assembly remains fully serviceable and upgradeable from below the ceiling. The unitized optics mechanically attach the light engine to the lower reflector, ensuring precise optical alignment and consistent beam quality over the fixture's life. The luminaire operates on a 120–277 VAC line at 50/60 Hz, with a power factor of 90% or greater, and delivers a sound rating of A+ with stable operation under voltage fluctuations.

The EVO® 6" Round Vandal Resistant LED Downlight maintains consistent color quality and lumen output over its operational life. LEDs are binned to 2-step SDCM for accurate color consistency, with options for 85 or 90 CRI. Lumen maintenance is rated at 70% over 60,000 hours, ensuring long-term reliability. Dimming is continuous and flicker-free, meeting ANSI/IES RP-16-10 standards, with available ranges from 100–10%, 100–1%, or 100–0.1% of rated output. eldoLED drivers conform to IEEE P1789 standards, guaranteeing smooth dimming and inaudible performance even in sensitive environments.

The downlight accommodates a variety of ceiling types, including metal, wood, drywall, and suspended grid ceilings. Color finishes are available in Black, Bronze, Clear, Gold, Gray, Pewter, Silver, Wheat, and White, allowing seamless integration into any architectural scheme. Aperture size is 6 inches, and the fixture supports both cone and lensed trim styles. Mounting is recessed, with preinstalled telescopic mounting bars extending from 15” to 32” and 4” vertical adjustment, permitting tool-less adjustments post-installation. The luminaire is suitable for ceilings up to 1½" thick, with standard ambient ratings at 25°C and required clearances of ½" on all sides.

Extensive photometric testing ensures predictable performance, with LEDs tested to LM-80 standards and luminaire measurements verified to IESNA LM-79-08 standards in accredited labs. Lumen output is guaranteed to not decrease by more than 30% over 60,000 operational hours, and color consistency is maintained within 2.5 MacAdam ellipses across fixtures.
