Gotham Lighting, an established innovator and manufacturer of architectural downlighting, announced today the latest addition to the IVO™ family with the IVO Shallow Cylinder, available in round and square shapes. This family of shallow cylinders offers cylinder heights as shallow as 5” in length.

Key features of the IVO Shallow Cylinders include:
  • Exceptional Lumen Performance: Ranging from 500 to 3000 lumens for the 4” aperture and 500 to 5000 lumens for the 6” aperture.
  • Versatile Trims: Choose from open reflector and lensed wall wash trims to suit specific lighting needs.
  • Flexible CCT Options: Select from a range of color temperatures including 27K, 30K, 35K, 45K, and 50K.
  • Wide Range of Distributions: Medium, Medium Wide, Wide and Wall Wash distributions ensure uniform illumination across various applications.
Additionally, the IVO Shallow Cylinders boast a leading light engine technology called Perfect Color™ from fixture to fixture, setting an industry standard with a 0.5-step MacAdam ellipse, compared to a 3-step MacAdam ellipse in other typical specification downlights. This exceptional quality of light technology provides unparalleled color consistency, and through its proprietary optics, coupled with Bounding Ray™ optical reflector design, ensures seamless uniform batwing distributions for smooth illumination and a comfortable experience for occupants in the space.

Gotham offers multiple mounting options for the IVO Shallow Cylinders, including surface mount, wall mount (fixed and adjustable versions), and pendant mount. The pendant mount is equipped with a field-cuttable stem or cord for added convenience, catering to diverse installation requirements.

The cylinders are available in 20 architectural colors, while the trims come in 9 different finishes, offering multiple possibilities for customization and integration with various design schemes.

Gotham Lighting, an established innovator and manufacturer of architectural downlighting, announced today the IVO™ Shallow Recessed downlight, the first luminaire from the new IVO family. The IVO Shallow Recessed downlight addresses spatial limitations, fitting into spaces as shallow as 2 inches, while delivering exceptional performance.

Ideal for both new construction and remodel projects, the IVO Shallow Recessed Downlight boasts up to 3000 lumens from a 4-inch aperture and up to 5000 lumens from a 6-inch aperture and delivers up to 120 lumens per watt. Installation is simple with LED quick connects and patented constant tension springs that can accommodate ceilings ranging from 5/8 inch to 2-inch thickness. The downlight's flexible design, with hinged junction boxes for remodeling and accessible driver boxes for new construction frames, ensures seamless integration into any space. Designed for field-serviceability, the IVO Shallow Recessed downlight features interchangeable trims and optics that can be effortlessly serviced from below the ceiling with a simple twist and lock mechanism. Includes the option to choose between a 4-inch aperture size accommodating a 2-inch plenum depth or a 6-inch aperture with a 3.5-inch plenum depth. Both options are offered in round or square configurations, featuring open cone or lensed wall wash designs, and are available with either flange or flangeless options. Additionally, a diverse range of finishes and trim colors are available for customization.

Gotham’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the IVO downlight’s design that uses 17% less steel, 44% less aluminum, and 28% less plastic compared to standard downlights. This eco-friendly approach significantly reduces carbon emissions and environmental impact.

Perfect color consistency is achieved with a 0.5 MacAdam ellipse from fixture to fixture. Proprietary optics coupled with an advanced light engine and Bounding Ray™ Optical Design delivers a true uniformed, batwing distribution for smooth illumination and a comfortable experience for occupants in the space. Technical adaptability extends to color temperature control, offering options from 2700K to 5000K. The downlight supports universal dimming to 1% through 0-10V, 120V Triac, and ELV protocols. Integration with nLight® wired or wireless lighting controls further enhances control options.
