The 6-inch shower downlight combines precise optical performance with dynamic tunable white and warm dimming capabilities, creating uniform, wide-angled light across horizontal and vertical surfaces. Its batwing distribution ensures smooth edges and consistent layers of light without hotspots or rings, supporting applications that require both functional and aesthetic quality. The fixture offers multiple beam angles, ranging from very narrow to wide, with a 45° cutoff to maintain glare control. Trim options include self-flanged, flangeless, and shower-specific configurations to suit a variety of ceiling types, including metal, wood, drywall, and suspended grids. The lensed downlight is compatible with DC2DC architecture, further expanding its installation flexibility.

Performance is enhanced by Bounding Ray™ optical technology, which eliminates flash and enables superior glare control. The luminaire supports a broad lumen range from 250 to 17,500 LM, with certifications including CSA and wet location suitability. Dynamic lighting options include nTune tunable white and WarmDim functionality, allowing color temperature adjustment within the Productivity Range of 3000K to 5000K or the Rhythm Range of 2700K to 6500K. The WARMDIM® range spans 3000K to 1800K for relaxing and warm visual effects when dimmed. Emergency battery backup ensures constant light output during power loss. A flush or regressed lensed trim with antimicrobial finish allows easy maintenance in wipe-down areas, while the non-conductive dead-front design adds safety in wet or high-use environments. Rated for 65,000 hours (L80) at 25°C ambient temperature, the fixture dims smoothly from 100% to 0.1% without perceptible flicker.

The optical assembly is fully serviceable and upgradeable, with a unitized LED light engine mechanically attached to the lower reflector for precise alignment. The luminaire operates from 50 or 60 Hz AC lines, ranging from 120 VAC to 277 VAC, with negligible effect from voltage fluctuations. It maintains a power factor of 90% or higher and features a sound rating of A+, with drivers exceeding 80% efficiency at full load. Input wiring consists of 18AWG, 300V minimum solid copper, while all drivers are RoHS compliant. Tunable white control via nTune within an nLight-enabled luminaire allows seamless adjustment of intensity and color temperature, offering repeatable, consistent results across applications. Construction emphasizes durability and flexibility. The luminaire housing is made of 16-gauge galvanized steel with preinstalled telescopic mounting bars, offering a maximum 32-inch extension, minimum 15-inch extension, and 4-inch vertical adjustment. The design accommodates ceiling thicknesses up to 1½ inches, with adapters available for ceilings up to 5 inches. Tool-less post-installation adjustments are possible, while the assembly ensures internal components are fully supported against mechanical shock and vibration. Standard clearance for non-IC applications is 1/2 inch, and for insulated ceilings, 3-inch clearance is required. All fixtures are CSA certified for US and Canadian standards, assembled in the USA, and compliant with Buy America(n) regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and DOT procurement requirements.
