Founded in 1992 in California’s Silicon Valley, Leotek Electronics USA, LLC. is a leading global manufacturer of street, roadway, area and signal lighting products. Leotek streetlights were first designed and delivered in 2007 and the company now has more than 2.2 million installations across North America. Leotek LED traffic signal modules are installed in over 30% of America’s intersections including over 6,000,000 modules installed in North America and Over 14,000,000 traffic signals worldwide.

In 1992, a Stanford PhD graduate and Hewlett Packard Opto-electronics veteran recognized that LED Lighting Technology was the future of outdoor lighting because it could provide significant cost reduction & energy savings, reliability, long life, and substantial improvement in light quality compared to existing technologies. First with traffic signal lighting, followed by street, roadway, and area lighting, Leotek’s innovative engineering, efficient assembly processes, rigorous testing procedures, and excellent service have become the benchmark for others to follow.
In 2013 Leotek established a manufacturing facility in San Jose, California. This 70,000 sq. ft. ISO 9001-2015 facility includes state of the art manufacturing automation and testing systems. Leotek’s lighting products are subject to 100% 2-hour “burn-in” reliability testing and comprehensive performance testing prior to shipment. Unit-by-unit traceability allows each product to be tracked before, during, and after shipment.
Leotek adheres to the highest production, qualification, safety and performance standards. Leotek is an ISO 9001 2015 certified manufacturer and is an active participant in industry organizations including ANSI/NEMA, Underwriter Laboratories (UL), Design Lights Consortium (DLC), International Dark Sky Association (IDSA), International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA), Institute of Traffic Engineers (ITE), and the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA).
