Cyclone Lighting, an established leader in the manufacture of outdoor luminaires, today announced that it has released its Lupa luminaire. Lupa offers modern, minimalist styling with optics that create an inviting, glare-free experience.

Lupa features a disk shape, no visible hardware, and a seamlessly integrated arm to bring a contemporary feel and refined look to public spaces. It is intended for urban landscapes such as courtyards, university and corporate campuses, urban parks, city squares, transit access, and transitional areas.

With nighttime use of public spaces on the rise, there is an emphasis on human-focused lighting that responds to the emotional need for that space to feel safe, warm, and welcoming. Lupa was intentionally designed with lower pole heights to contribute to this feeling of security. Yet, its light engine produces a gentler, more comfortable gradient for a softer look and glare-free environment.

Lupa’s light engine also features the latest ink technology in its diffuser to deliver broader, more even light distribution. Luminosity is uniform and unpixellated in appearance. City planners may choose from symmetric distribution for wide open spaces such as courtyards, asymmetric distribution for streets and alleyways, or pathway distribution for illuminating linear pedestrian routes.

Cast aluminum housing contributes to a high-quality, robust construction. Performance packages from P10 (3,260 delivered lumens) to P50 (15,880 delivered lumens) may be selected. Lupa is IP66-rated and dark sky friendly.

It received GOLD CERTIFICATION in the Industrial Design/Lighting Fixture-Outdoor category.

The GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards is an international competition that celebrates the excellence and talent of creative professionals and firms who have distinguished themselves through exemplary practice. Created in Montreal in 2007, the original mission was to recognize the excellence of Quebec designers and architects. The competition was expanded to include international entries in 2020. A multidisciplinary jury of global judges includes leading international designers, architects, professors, entrepreneurs, and distinguished press.

Tribeca features a unique wedge shape that generates a silhouette, giving designers a tool for imparting a decidedly modern feel to a space. A rectangular push button latch preserves a sleek aesthetic while providing easy access to internal components for maintenance. Each luminaire incorporates Cyclone’s proprietary Orion optics, a high-performance optically engineered system that provides uniform illumination and delivers light where needed. With these advanced optics and a choice of light distributions, Tribeca is well-suited for various lighting applications, including urban streets, municipal roads, entertainment districts, parking lots, and area lighting.

A departure from traditional luminaires, it updates lantern styling for contemporary tastes, making it a natural alternative for lighting today’s upscale residential streets.

High-performance optics and an updated, modern lantern styling provide an upscale aesthetic to outdoor post-top illumination. A new, high-output Kepler light engine combines optically engineered, injection-molded acrylic lenses with advanced thermal management. Each lens is fully sealed and waterproof, and a cast aluminum alloy heat sink is designed and tested for optimal performance in all weather. The Kepler light engine is available in type 1A, 3, 3M, 4 and 5 photometric distribution types. When paired with the house shield option, it can accommodate more than ten photometric distribution types to adapt to a variety of project requirements.

With a modular design featuring a 34-LED board, Elencia offers performance packages from 1,800 to 5,000 delivered lumens. Individual 5-LED hexagonal-shaped optical modules provide greater photometric precision. Color temperatures offered range from 3000K to 4000K. And an optional house shield is available for backlight control.

Four distinctive post-top styles are available, with a choice of skirt/placement combinations to create a signature look. Its cast aluminum head features a waterproof compression system. Fixture maintenance is simplified with tool-free access to the inside of the luminaire with a simple quarter-turn, self-locking rotary mechanism, and quick-disconnect connectors.
