The Wire Simpline Node is a wired PLC (Power Line Communication) control and dimming module developed for street lighting systems, capable of managing individual luminaires or entire luminaire groups. This module provides full individual control, including on/off switching and dimming, while maintaining compatibility with third-party motion sensors for enhanced responsiveness. It supports multiple control interfaces, including DALI, DALI 2.0, PWM, 1-10V, and 0-10V, making it versatile for a wide range of lighting setups. The module accommodates luminaires up to 1000 W and operates on an input voltage range of 110–230 V, with a working capacity up to 305 V.
Control is carried out individually via the Central Gateway QULON C, C1, or C2, as well as through the QULON Simpline system, utilizing standard power lines. The technology leverages a frequency range of 132.5 kHz according to CENELEC EN 50065-1 (band C), enabling reliable communication and coordination with the connected lighting network. The unit is suitable for installation inside luminaire housings, directly in a luminaire body, or within a lighting pole using wired connections. Its robust IP68 rating ensures full protection against dust and water, making it suitable for harsh outdoor conditions.
The Wire Simpline Node is built in a compact, durable plastic housing with dimensions of 94 mm in length, 37.2 mm in height, and 61.2 mm in width, weighing 0.3 kg. It is equipped for luminaire or pole mounting and includes an embedded triac for load switching, an accelerometer for structural monitoring, and motion sensor input for external devices. For electrical reliability, it includes an integrated anti-jamming filter supporting load powers from 20–250 W, and an external filter option for loads up to 800 W. Maximum load capacities reach 300 W with the integrated filter and 850 W with the external filter.
The module is certified CE compliant and RoHS, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, storage temperatures from -50°C to +80°C, and maximum relative humidity of 100%. Communication interfaces include DALI, DALI 2.0, PWM, 1-10V, and 0-10V, with a wired connection to the controller following the CENELEC EN 50065-1 (band C) standard. The unit is configured remotely through QULON C, C1, C2, or the QULON Simpline software, with status indication provided by built-in LEDs for monitoring and diagnostics. With its compact design, high voltage tolerance, and full IP68 protection, the Wire Simpline Node is a reliable solution for modern street lighting control in challenging environments.
