It pairs seamlessly with five other emission options within the MICRO RING family, allowing for captivating layered light compositions. The high-efficiency flexible diffuser fits snugly within the frame, eliminating light leakage and ensuring uniform, seamless diffusion.
Micro Ring SE delivers a lively and buoyant presence, making a striking visual impact as a standalone piece, especially when enhanced with vibrant color options like red, green, or blue. Additionally, an acoustic panel option is available for rings up to 7 feet in diameter. The inner ring’s light emission beautifully highlights the acoustic panel, which adds a decorative dimension to the space while effectively absorbing echo and reverberation commonly found in open-concept environments, exposed concrete structures, open ceilings, and rooms with large windows. For a whimsical and distinctive aesthetic, Micro Ring SE can be combined with complementary shapes such as MICRO TRIANGLE or MICRO QUAD.
Constructed from aluminum with a powder-coated finish, the fixture is suspended by steel cables and includes a silver braided power cable. It can be mounted directly over a J box (by others, North America only). The luminaire supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) integration, allowing connection to your data network for smart control.
The lighting system is equipped with HPF electronic drivers for 120-277V (EU-240V), offering 0-10V, 1% dimming capabilities. Drivers may be remote mounted or integral to the canopy. Remote drivers require wire sizes with maximum distances of 40 feet (18 AWG), 60 feet (16 AWG), and 90 feet (14 AWG), and must remain accessible after installation. The diffuser features a protruding lens of 0.08 inches (2.1mm), ensuring high light quality. Delivered lumens and lumens per watt (LPW) are based on 4000K with a minimum 80 CRI.
For safety and compliance, Micro Ring SE is damp rated and offers seismic bracing kits to meet relevant requirements—details available from the factory. An emergency lighting option provides a 1.5-hour (3 hours for EU) backup, featuring a remote system with inverter module, NiCad batteries, and a remote LED charge indicator and test switch (North America only). The maximum allowable distance between the wall or ceiling plate and luminaire is 15 feet (4.5 meters), with the test switch fitting a single gang box (not supplied). Sensor compatibility is available upon consultation with the factory. The reported L70 lifetime at 25°C (77°F) exceeds 60,000 hours, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability.
