Physically, the DroneV NXT™ measures just 75.7 mm x 21.1 mm x 21.9 mm (2.98” x 0.83” x 0.86”) and weighs only 30 grams (1.06 oz), making it exceptionally lightweight for its category. It operates within a voltage range of 9 to 36 V DC. In navigation/position mode, it draws 0.13 A at 14V and 0.08 A at 28V, with corresponding power consumptions of 1.82 W and 2.24 W respectively. In strobe mode, the peak current increases to 0.74 A at 14V and 0.42 A at 28V, with peak power usage reaching 10.36 W and 11.76 W respectively.
For secure attachment, the DroneV NXT™ is compatible with M3x16 DIN 7984 or #6-32x5/8" low-profile socket head cap screws, requiring a torque of 1.0 Nm or 8.85 in-lb depending on the screw specification. The unit also includes essential protective features such as reverse polarity protection, transient voltage protection rated at 90V for 1 second, and over-voltage protection to ensure reliable operation in demanding conditions.
