Its advanced optical system, including the proprietary CLS DFC lens made from high-purity glass, ensures an even, high-efficiency light beam with soft edges and minimal spill. Despite its compact design and a maximum power consumption of just 15 Watts, the Topaz Zoom achieves a light output of up to 650 lumens, making it exceptionally suitable for delicate exhibits and detailed lighting tasks.
The fixture is available with Bridgelux or Xicato XOB LED light engines, both renowned for their high-quality light output and exceptional color rendering. These options offer a CRI of up to ~98 and R9 values exceeding 95, particularly in the 3000K versions, ensuring true-to-life color reproduction—an essential requirement in museum-grade lighting. For dynamic color temperature control, Tunable White modules are also available, offering ranges of 1800K–4000K and 2700K–6500K, though these are exclusively supported through DMX control. Additional color variants are available upon request, subject to minimum order quantities.
One of the most defining features of the Topaz Zoom is its wide array of dimming and control options, which includes Mains Dim, Local Dim, Roto Dim®, Casambi Bluetooth, DALI, DMX512, Wireless DMX, and even a combined Casambi + Local Dim solution within a single track adapter. The Roto Dim® option, in particular, stands out by merging the ease of analog potentiometer control with the precision and low-level accuracy of digital dimming systems. This unique approach includes a removable potentiometer, further exemplifying CLS’s commitment to innovation in lighting control. For sensor-based or app-driven environments, the Casambi variant offers seamless Bluetooth integration, and CLS can provide proprietary sensors integrated directly into track-mounted fixtures.
The Topaz Zoom's discreet and elegant housing features a gently curved back for a slimmer appearance, allowing it to blend seamlessly into both modern and classical interior designs. All electronics are fully integrated into the fixture body, removing the need for bulky external driver housings. Designers and installers can choose between track mounting (with compatibility for Global and Eutrac rail systems) or surface mounting, using an M10 threaded nipple for installation on ceilings, metal plates, or cable ducts where track systems may not be applicable.
To further enhance its flexibility, the Topaz Zoom supports a variety of lighting accessories, including honeycombs, filter holders, rotatable barndoors, stackable snoots, and elliptical beam shapers. These tools enable lighting designers to sculpt and refine the light beam to perfectly suit any exhibit or space.
