The sStrip-17 is a compact, surface-mounted luminaire designed for under-cap and hardscape wall lighting applications. Featuring a sleek, low-profile form factor and a modular bracket system, it allows for straightforward installation in tight architectural spaces. The fixture is available in a 1LED configuration with your choice of brass or aluminum construction, and it also comes in an RGBW version compatible with Luxor® ZDClink® systems, enabling dynamic color-changing capabilities and precision control.
Engineered for both performance and durability, the sStrip-17 delivers up to 95 lumens while consuming just 2.2 to 4.3 watts of power. It accepts a low-voltage input of 10–15 Vac/dc for the white LED version and 11–15 Vac for the RGBW model, with a remote transformer required for operation. The fixture is built with an integral driver and advanced CoolDrive™ thermal management, ensuring consistent performance and long lifespans—over 72,000 hours for the white LED and over 55,000 hours for the RGBW version, based on TM21 test standards.
Lighting control is highly flexible. The fixture supports Luxor® zoning and dimming, allowing luminaires to be grouped into up to 250 zones and dimmed in 1% increments from 0% to 100%. The ZDC model also enables full-color customization from a palette of more than 30,000 colors. Standard models are zoneable with ZDClink®, and trailing-edge dimming is also supported.
Physically, the sStrip-17 features a die-cast A380 aluminum housing and a faceplate made of brass, stainless steel, or copper, depending on the selected finish. It includes tamper-resistant stainless steel hardware and a robust mounting bracket for secure installation. The finish options range from natural metal and antique treatments (brushed or tumbled) to a marine-grade two-layer anodization and polyester TGIC powder coating, all tested to ASTM standards. Antique finishes are sealed with a clear powder-coat for added protection.
The fixture uses a frosted polycarbonate lens designed for shock resistance and high thermal tolerance. It includes MicroAntileach™ socket technology to prevent moisture ingress, a fixed-position mounting system for downward illumination only, and a full cutoff shield for effective glare control. Wiring includes a 10-foot (3 m) lead of 18 AWG cable rated for 220°F (105°C) and 300 V, with shorter leads for international versions.
Rated IP65 for protection against dust and water jets, the sStrip-17 is approved for dry, damp, and wet locations. It operates in ambient temperatures ranging from 0°F to 140°F (-18°C to 60°C) and is IES Type V classified. With a BUG rating of B0-U1-G0 and full dark-sky compliance when using a 3,000K or lower light source, this luminaire is a sustainable choice for environmentally conscious designs. Certifications include UL 1838, CSA C22.2 No. 250.7, IEC 60598-1 and -2-4, FCC Part 15, ISED Canada ICES-005, EN 55015, EN 61547, and EN 61000 standards. CE compliance is available with the international (“e”) option.
