The sShell-9 is a compact, surface-mounted wall luminaire engineered to deliver glare-free illumination in a low-profile form. Designed with versatility in mind, it is available in both die-cast aluminum and solid brass construction. The fixture supports zoning and dimming capabilities when used with ZDClink® Controllers, enabling seamless integration into advanced lighting control systems.
This luminaire outputs 101 lumens while consuming just 2.2 watts of power. It operates on a 10–15 Vac/dc input at 50/60 Hz and features an integral driver configuration. Remote transformers are required and must be specified separately. The sShell-9 employs high-performance Lumileds® LEDs and incorporates CoolDrive™ onboard thermal monitoring and control to ensure reliability and efficiency. Rated for over 72,000 hours of operation (L70, B10, TM21 reported), it provides exceptional longevity.
With Luxor® control technology, the sShell-9 can be zoned into up to 250 groups, dimmed in 1% increments from 0% to 100%, or, when paired with RGBW LEDs, tuned to over 30,000 color options. The standard model is zoneable, and optional configurations allow for expanded dimming and color control.
Physically, the fixture features a durable faceplate and housing constructed from die-cast A380 aluminum or C360 brass, complemented by tamper-resistant stainless steel hardware. Finish options include natural metal, antique bronze (brushed), and antique tumbled, as well as a two-layer protective coating of sulfuric acid anodization and polyester TGIC powder-coat for superior weather resistance, all tested to ASTM standards. Antique finishes are sealed with a clear TGIC layer.
The sShell-9 is designed for downward-facing wall installation only and includes a full cutoff shield to minimize glare. It comes pre-wired with 18 AWG SPT-1W cable rated for 220°F (105°C) and 300 V, extending 10 feet (3 meters) from the light aperture. For international versions, the cable length is shorter. The fixture features MicroAntileach™ technology to prevent moisture ingress into sealed areas.
Additional features include a frosted polycarbonate lens engineered for shock resistance and thermal stress tolerance. The luminaire is rated for ambient operating temperatures from 0°F to 140°F (-18°C to 60°C) and is certified for use in dry, damp, and wet locations. With a BUG rating of B0-U1-G0 and IES Type II classification, the sShell-9 meets International Dark-Sky Association requirements when configured with a light source of 3,000K or lower.
The sShell-9 complies with UL 1838, CSA C22.2 No. 250.7, IEC 60598-1, IEC 60598-2-4, FCC Part 15 (Subpart B), ISED Canada ICES-005, EN 55015, EN 61547, EN 61000-3-2, and EN 61000-3-3, ensuring suitability for a wide range of global installations.
