It features an intuitive tail switch that provides tactile control over each output level, allowing users to switch between lighting modes with ease. This compact light utilizes advanced LED technology, providing a shock-resistant light source with a 50,000-hour lifetime. The Wedge® XT offers two lighting modes: a high mode that delivers 500 lumens, 1,900 candela, and a beam distance of 87 meters, and a low mode that provides 50 lumens, 200 candela, and a beam distance of 28 meters. The light is designed with a TEN-TAP® programmable switch, allowing users to choose between two different output modes: high/low (factory default) or low/high. The tail switch features momentary or constant-on operation, with a Five-Tap® lockout feature to prevent accidental activation.
The Wedge® XT’s rechargeable 950 mAh lithium polymer cell is protected by an onboard safety circuit, ensuring reliability and longevity. The battery status is easily visible via the indicator located above the charge port. A steady green light indicates sufficient power, while a steady red light signals that the battery needs to be charged. Alternating red and green flashes show that the lockout mode is enabled. The light fully recharges within 6 hours and offers a simple charging process, with the charge status indicated by a red (charging) or green (charged) LED.
Durability is key with the Wedge® XT, as it is IPX7-rated for waterproofness up to 1 meter and impact-resistant to 1 meter. The machined aluminum alloy case is finished with a Type II MIL-Spec anodized coating, ensuring a rugged exterior. The light comes in three colors: Black, Coyote, and Silver, and includes a pocket lanyard for easy carry. It also boasts a polycarbonate lens for added protection.
