Lightweight, compact, and low-profile, the Streamlight Vantage® II is designed to easily attach above or below full-brim fire helmets, slotted industrial hard hats, Gallet helmets, or MSA Cairns® 1010/1044 traditional fire helmets. The light features the latest in power LED technology, combined with an ultra-bright blue safety taillight LED. Powered by a single CR123A disposable lithium battery, the Vantage® II is also sealed for waterproofness, making it a reliable option in challenging environments.
The light output includes 350 lumens, 3500 candela peak beam intensity, and a beam distance of 118 meters, with optimized system output. The TIR optic produces a smooth beam hotspot, providing optimum peripheral illumination to aid navigation. The light’s electronics are optimized to maintain regulated intensity throughout use. The case is made from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with a black anodized finish, offering durability and resistance to harsh conditions.
The Vantage® II comes in multiple configurations depending on the helmet type. For fire mount use, the light measures 2.37 inches in length, 1.16 inches in width, and 2.18 inches in height. The industrial version is slightly smaller, with a height of 1.54 inches, while the Gallet and MSA Cairns® 1010/1044 helmet mounts have different dimensions. The light weighs 3.65 oz for the fire mount version and 2.90 oz for the industrial and MSA Cairns® models. The lens is made from high-temperature, shock-mounted, impact-resistant BOROFLOAT® glass, and the light source is a high-power LED impervious to shock with a 50,000-hour lifetime, complemented by an ultra-bright blue safety taillight LED with a 100,000-hour lifetime.
The Vantage® II features a large, easy-access on/off switch located on the rear of the light. It has a run time of 2.25 hours on high, with a continuous output to 10% of the initial lumen output, and up to 5 hours on low. The light also boasts a "safe off" feature to prevent accidental activation and preserve battery life. The flashlight meets the 500°F requirements of NFPA 1971-8.6 (2018) and complies with NFPA 1851 guidance for accessories with MSA Cairns® 1010/1044 traditional fire helmets. Its IPX7-rated design ensures it is waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes, and it has been tested for 1-meter impact resistance.
The Vantage® II is a versatile, durable lighting tool designed for fire service, industrial, and hard-hat use. It comes with various configurations, including a model for MSA Cairns® 1010/1044 helmets, and offers safety features such as a blue taillight LED visible in heavy smoke, which can be configured to flash or be turned off. The flashlight’s swivel clamp helps optimize beam location, and its low-profile design ensures it won’t snag. The flashlight’s reflective strips on the side of the switch housing add visibility, even in low-light conditions.
