The Streamlight TLR-8® HL-X is a high-lumen, rail-mounted tactical light that delivers powerful illumination and versatility for various shooting needs. When powered by the included Streamlight SL-B9® proprietary lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack, it emits an impressive 1,000 lumens and 22,000 candela. For greater flexibility, it also supports multi-fuel capability, operating with a single CR123A battery, which provides 500 lumens and 11,000 candela. This dual-power feature allows users to choose the optimal output based on mission requirements or available power sources.
The TLR-8® HL-X incorporates a high-temperature, impact-resistant BOROFLOAT® glass lens and features a white LED light source with a 50,000-hour lifetime. It also includes a 640-660nm red aiming laser, offering enhanced targeting precision. The ambidextrous rear paddle switches allow for intuitive left- or right-handed operation. Users can choose between three operational modes—LED only, LED/laser combined, or laser only—by simultaneously pressing both switches. The light supports both momentary and constant-on functions, as well as a user-activated strobe mode for signaling or disorientation.
The SL-B9® lithium-ion battery pack offers a rechargeable solution with up to 500 charge cycles and charges in approximately 2.5 hours via USB-C. When used in LED or LED/laser mode, it provides a default runtime of 30 minutes, programmable to extend to 1 hour. Laser-only operation extends up to 29 hours. When powered by a CR123A battery, the light achieves 1.5 hours of LED or LED/laser runtime, while maintaining the same 29-hour laser-only duration.
Built for durability and safety, the TLR-8® HL-X features an anodized machined aluminum body, IPX4-rated water resistance, and a robust operating temperature range. Its rail grip clamp design allows for one-handed, tool-free attachment or detachment, keeping hands safely behind the muzzle. The flashlight is extensively live-fire tested, serialized for identification, and includes interchangeable rear paddle switches to accommodate different shooting preferences. With its compact size (2.90 inches) and lightweight design (3.14 oz with SL-B9® or 3.04 oz with CR123A), this light combines rugged performance with powerful output in a tactical-ready package.
