The flashlight features a newly integrated mode selection switch located at the head, which allows for quick access to high, medium, and low intensity settings.
The Strion 2020 incorporates two independent push-button switches—one at the head and one at the tail. Both switches provide complete control over the light’s operation, supporting one-handed use for momentary, constant-on, or strobe functions. A double-click from either switch activates the high-intensity strobe, regardless of the selected brightness mode. The three-position mode select switch, aligned with the head switch, is thumb-accessible for intuitive brightness adjustments.
Constructed from durable 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with an anodized finish, the Strion 2020 is built to withstand harsh environments. It features a high-efficiency Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optic for optimal light control and a high-power white LED with a 50,000-hour lifetime. The lens is chemically and impact-resistant for long-lasting clarity and reliability.
The flashlight is IPX7-rated waterproof to 1 meter and has been impact tested to a height of 2 meters. Dimensions include a length of 6.33 inches, a head diameter of 1.25 inches, a barrel diameter of 0.95 inches, and a tri-lobe anti-roll flange diameter of 1.35 inches. A serialized body ensures positive identification.
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery features an on-board safety control circuit and is capable of up to 1,000 charge cycles. The Strion 2020 is compatible with existing Strion® chargers, using a clamp-style charge holder with a digital control circuit that prevents overcharging. The charger fully recharges the battery in 4.5 hours, whether inside or outside the light. LED indicators on the charger base show steady for charging and blinking when the battery is fully charged.
The light offers three intensity modes: High (1,200 lumens, 28,000 candela, 335-meter beam distance, 1.75-hour run time), Medium (460 lumens, 10,000 candela, 200-meter beam, 5.5-hour run time), and Low (120 lumens, 3,000 candela, 110-meter beam, 12-hour run time). The strobe function runs for 3.5 hours. A battery status indicator on the head switch displays green for full/sufficient power and red for low battery.
Optional accessories include safety wands, holsters, flip lenses, the PiggyBack® charger, and a 6-unit bank charger. The PiggyBack® charger enables simultaneous charging of a spare battery (sold separately), minimizing downtime and ensuring the light is always ready for use.
