The Streamlight PolyTac 90® X USB and PolyTac 90® X are 500-lumen tactical lights designed for versatility and durability. These lights can operate on either a proprietary Streamlight Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery pack or two CR123A disposable batteries. The PolyTac 90 X USB comes as a complete rechargeable system, including a charge cord and a Streamlight Li-Ion USB battery pack with an integrated micro-USB charge port. In contrast, the PolyTac 90 X is packaged with two CR123A batteries. Both models feature a switch for momentary or constant on operation, an integrated carabiner-style D-ring, and a pocket clip for multiple attachment methods. Additionally, the colored LEDs in the button indicate the remaining battery power, showing green, yellow, red, or blinking red when charging or when a battery replacement is needed. The lights are housed in a glass-filled nylon casing that provides exceptional durability and abrasion resistance. Available in black, yellow, and orange, these lights are designed to withstand demanding environments.
The battery options include one Streamlight SL-B26® protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery pack, which offers a capacity of 2600mAh and can be recharged up to 500 times, recharging in just 5 hours. Alternatively, users can choose two 3-volt CR123A lithium batteries, which offer a storage life of up to 10 years. A warning is included regarding the SL-B9™ battery, which should not be used in firefighting situations or exposed to temperatures greater than 140°F (60°C).
The PolyTac 90 X is built for reliability and functionality, with a high-impact, super-tough nylon polymer construction and a textured surface for a secure grip. The lens is glass and gasket-sealed, while the light source is LED technology, impervious to shock with a 50,000-hour lifetime. The light output is regulated to maintain consistent lumen performance throughout the life of the battery. The light features a multi-function switch for easy one-handed operation, with modes for high and low settings.
The PolyTac 90 X is IPX7-rated, meaning it is waterproof to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes, and it has been tested for 2-meter impact resistance. This light is a multi-fuel system, accepting both the Streamlight SL-B26® rechargeable battery pack and CR123A lithium batteries. It offers high and low modes, with high delivering 500 lumens with a 167-meter beam for 3.75 hours using the SL-B26 battery, or 2.5 hours with CR123A batteries. In low mode, it provides 85 lumens with a 64-meter beam for 19 hours with the SL-B26 battery, or 12 hours with CR123A batteries. The multi-position, reversible pocket clip allows for easy attachment to MOLLE, turnout gear, harnesses, and more. For added versatility, the light features an integrated carabiner-style D-ring and the option to use the Gear Keeper® system for attaching the light to turnout gear or other equipment.
With a compact design measuring 4.43 inches in length and weighing 4.3 ounces (with CR123A batteries) or 4.8 ounces (with the SL-B26 battery pack), the PolyTac 90 X is a rugged, high-performance tool that offers dependable lighting for various applications.
