The Strait Secure Static and Tunable White Wall Slot is a linear wall-mounted sconce designed for environments requiring secure, ligature-resistant lighting. Available in standard lengths ranging from 12 inches to 48 inches, the fixture supports optional decorative images for aesthetic customization. It is suitable for use in Behavioral Health spaces, airports, educational facilities, emergency rooms, mass transit areas, natatoriums, and public areas, as well as any other location requiring vandal- and ligature-resistant linear lighting. The luminaire delivers 300 nominal lumens with a choice of LED light sources in static white or tunable white, covering a color temperature range from 2700 K to 6500 K, including 3000 K, 3500 K, and 4000 K. The fixture carries a CRI of 90+ and operates on 120–277 V, with lighting control options including 0-10V, DALI, and Lutron Athena dimming. Its 2-1/2″ recessed aperture and 3-3/4″ fixture depth allow for a shallow wall profile while maintaining visual discretion. The luminaire features a shallow extruded aluminum housing with a vandal- and ligature-resistant frame. The frame incorporates a smooth single-piece aluminum trim with a 0.22″ polycarbonate lens, and tamperproof screws secure the frame to the housing. Each order includes one hex key per ten fixtures and one FlexDrive bit for installation, with additional FlexDrive bits available separately. An anti-pixellation optical film is included above the polycarbonate lens to enhance light uniformity. The LED driver is internal, rated for indoor or outdoor operation from -30°C to 60°C (-22°F to 140°F), and supports 0-10V CCR dimming to 1.0%, providing precise lighting control. The fixture is LM-80 qualified and LM-79 certified, ensuring long-term performance, with a rated life of 60,000 hours for static white and 50,000 hours for tunable white (L70).
Installation is secure and straightforward, accommodating wall thicknesses up to 1 1/8″. The minimum spacing between fixtures depends on the installation method: 1.75″ frame-to-frame using the hex key and 6.5″ using the FlexDrive, with a minimum spacing between the fixture and wall of 1.75″ using the hex key and 6.0″ using the FlexDrive. The fixture mounts with standard #6 sheet rock fasteners (supplied by others). UL and C-UL (Canada) listings include damp or dry locations, with Type IC approval for direct contact with insulation.
