Engineered for both interior and covered exterior ceilings, the fixture meets a wide array of performance and safety standards, including Build America, Buy America (BABAA), Declare Listed, IK10 impact resistance, IP66 ingress protection, Level 2 Infection Control, and vandal-resistant construction. It is LM-80 qualified and LM-79 certified, with a rated life of 60,000 hours for static white and 50,000 hours for tunable white at L70. The linear slot design supports lumen packages of 500, 750, 1000, and 1200 lumens per foot with wattage options from 5.5 to 16.2 watts per foot, operating on universal 120–277V input. The fixture’s optical system includes anti-pixellation optical film above the polycarbonate lens to ensure smooth, uniform light distribution without hotspots, and a flat vandal-resistant lens assembly secured by discreet tamper-proof screws placed along the frame edge. Installation is designed for new construction, securely mounting to hard ceilings up to 1⅛ inches thick using #6 sheet-rock fasteners (supplied by others). Minimum spacing requirements vary depending on the tool used: 1.75 inches between fixtures or between fixture and wall when using the supplied hex key, and 6.5 inches between fixtures or 6.0 inches between fixture and wall when using the FlexDrive bit. Tamperproof tools are included with each order—one hex key per ten fixtures and one FlexDrive bit per order—with additional FlexDrive bits available separately.
An optional acrylic scenic panel can be positioned above the polycarbonate lens, offering more than 100 image selections from Kirlin or a customer-provided design. This enables unique environmental enhancements, especially in behavioral health applications, and can be previewed using Kirlin’s Scenic Configurator tool. The unit is UL and C-UL listed for damp or dry locations within covered ceilings, Type IC rated for direct contact with insulation, and carries a vandal-resistant trim and lens assembly for robust, long-term performance in secure, high-traffic, or safety-critical spaces.
