For walkable public areas, there is a recommendation to use skid-blocking glass compliant with DIN 51130 R 13 to prevent slipping when the glass is wet. Luminaires with skid-blocking glass, designated by an "R" after the article number, are also available. This specialized glass increases the dispersion of the light distribution, enhancing safety without compromising illumination quality.
