The Juno Podz™ LED Downlights redefine recessed lighting with an ultra-low-profile design, advanced lighting control, and effortless installation. Available in 4-inch, 5-inch, and 6-inch sizes with round or square shapes, Juno Podz™ integrates seamlessly into ceilings without requiring a traditional recessed housing. Each fixture measures less than 3 inches in height, making it ideal for installations in tight plenums. The canless configuration installs directly into the ceiling, whether for new construction or remodel applications, saving time and space while maintaining the appearance of a deeply regressed architectural downlight. This fixture’s IC rating ensures safe use in insulated ceilings, while its wet-location listing allows placement in covered outdoor areas or damp interiors such as bathrooms and kitchens.
Lighting customization is at the heart of the Juno Podz™ experience. Each fixture provides three switchable lumen outputs—700, 1000, or 1200 lumens—alongside five selectable color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K). These options can be set directly on the module, allowing easy adaptation to varying ceiling heights, ambient light levels, or aesthetic preferences. For environments requiring a warm, inviting atmosphere, the integrated WarmDim® function recreates the behavior of traditional incandescent lamps by gradually warming from 2850K to 1900K as the light dims. With a minimum 90 CRI across all settings, the fixture ensures natural, accurate color rendering that enhances architectural finishes and skin tones. Juno’s patented color temperature and intensity configurable technology (U.S. Patent No. 11,259,377 B2) ensures consistent performance across settings, with precise color mixing that follows the black body curve for visually pleasing results.
A choice of LED drivers accommodates both residential and commercial wiring systems. Users may select either a dedicated 120V driver compatible with standard forward-phase, reverse-phase, Triac, and magnetic or electronic low-voltage wall dimmers, or a universal MVOLT driver supporting 120–277V input with smooth 0–10V dimming down to 10%. Both options deliver a power factor greater than 0.9 and stable performance across a wide range of control protocols. The LED light engine is integrated into an aluminum housing that provides excellent heat dissipation and contributes to an L70 lifetime of 33,000 hours at 70% lumen maintenance. The system is UL and cUL listed for through-branch wiring and meets 2019 Title 24, Part 6 JA8 high-efficacy requirements, making it compliant for energy codes and building standards across the U.S. and Canada.
Juno’s optical system has been meticulously engineered for comfort and uniformity. A computer-optimized reflector with a high-reflectance white finish and a high-transmission diffusing lens conceal the LEDs, producing a soft, evenly distributed aperture luminance. The deeply regressed lens minimizes glare, delivering a balanced and comfortable medium flood distribution typical of architectural-grade downlighting. The result is smooth, even coverage ideal for general ambient lighting in residential, retail, hospitality, and light commercial spaces.
Every component of the fixture has been crafted for durability and ease of use. The trim module consists of a low-profile aluminum housing with an integral flange that installs directly into IC or non-IC ceilings. Spring clips are included for quick mounting, and the assembly accommodates ceiling materials up to one inch thick. Trim options include baffle, bevel, cone, or open styles in finishes such as white or black, with field-installable inserts available for on-site customization. The square Podz versions are designed for simple alignment and use a round ceiling opening, enabling installation with common hole saws while guaranteeing consistent orientation across multiple fixtures in a grid layout.
For installation flexibility, both remodel and new construction configurations are available. The remodel junction box is fabricated from 22-gauge die-formed galvanized steel and includes multiple knockouts, integrated wire traps for NM cable, and a prewired conduit cable with quick-connect plug for easy attachment to the trim module. The new construction frame assembly includes a pre-installed Air-Loc gasket for airtight installation, a galvanized steel junction box with removable access plates, and Real Nail® 3 bar hangers (U.S. Patent D552,969). These telescoping bar hangers allow placement anywhere within 24-inch on-center joists or suspended ceilings, include removable nails for repositioning, and integrate T-bar clips for grid ceilings. Both junction box configurations support through-branch wiring, accommodating up to four or six #12 conductors depending on the version.
The Juno Podz™ LED Downlight delivers a rare combination of architectural form, flexible lighting control, and simplified installation. With selectable color temperatures, adjustable lumen outputs, WarmDim® technology, and deep-regressed optical comfort, it offers professional-grade lighting performance in a fixture less than 3 inches tall. Its ability to install directly into the plenum, compatibility with multiple dimming systems, and compliance with stringent efficiency standards make it an ideal solution for modern residential, hospitality, and commercial environments where aesthetics, comfort, and performance must coexist seamlessly.
