The 7" LED downlight is a recessed, round aperture fixture developed for versatile use across a wide range of environments, including Airport, Convention Center, Education, Hospitality, Museum, Public Areas, Retail, Theater, and Worship applications. Its LED – Static White light source supports CRI options of 80+ or 90+, with color temperatures offered at 2700 K, 3000 K, 3500 K, 4000 K, and 5000 K. The fixture delivers lumen outputs of 2703, 3819, 5007, and 5739, with wattage levels of 36.9, 44.7, 59.4, and 72.7 across a universal voltage range of 120–277. It is suited for both interior and covered ceiling exterior locations and uses either New Construction or Remote Driver installation. The Open Look lens and Flare or Glow Ring trim options support a clean architectural appearance, while the fixture depth of 5-5/8" allows integration into shallow plenums. Lighting control compatibility includes 0-10V and DMX dimming, allowing precise adjustment across different lighting environments.
The downlight carries an extensive set of listings and codes, including Air Tight, Build America, Buy America (BABAA), FCC Part 15, IC Rated, IEC/EN 60601-1-2, and UL Wet-Listed, supporting performance in Wet Location environments. It is LM-80 qualified and uses LM-79 certified photometry. Delivered system performance is based on specified lumen series with nominal outputs of 6500L at 74W, 5000L at 55W, 4000L at 42W, and 2500L at 35W, along with distribution options that include MFL standard or optional SPT or WFL. The standard 3500°K color temperature may be substituted with optional 27K, 30K, 41K, or 50K, while 80+ CRI is standard with an optional -HC 90+ upgrade. The fixture carries a rated life of 60,000 hours (L70) and is fully sustainable with components removable for servicing.
A Remote Power Supply is required for operation, using SYM-CABNT for 0-10V control or SYM-DMXPS for DMX with RDM, and the Symphony Configurator is available to determine the proper components. Emergency lighting compatibility is supported through the SmartPower™ Battery Backup using EMI-21220 for emergency power, ordered separately. The trim is constructed from clear specular aluminum and incorporates a self-flanged, low glare cone with a prismatic spread lens positioned above it, with optional colors and finishes available to suit project requirements.
The downlight’s Acrylic Enameled Aluminum Housing is rustproof and corrosion resistant, exceeding the 1000 hour ASTM 5% salt spray test, and includes an interlocking flare trim, shallow depth for restricted plenums, cool operation for extended component life, and a fully sustainable design allowing the entire luminaire, including the LED light engine, to remain visible and serviceable through the aperture. A built-in plaster flange supports clean installation. Thermal Management System performance is provided through an all-aluminum heat sink, components, and housing that maintain cool operation, long life, and reduced maintenance. The UL listed J-box includes an insulated removable cover and arrives prewired with 14 GA (NEC) conductors and ½" and ¾" knockouts. Installation requires a minimum 16 AWG shielded twisted pair wire from driver to fixtures with a maximum cable run of 250'. Center point mounting hardware ensures a snug fit to the ceiling, and a 2" collar is available for surface J-box mounts through Option -80.
The downlight is listed under UL and C-UL (Canada) for Wet, damp, or dry locations in covered ceilings, with additional conditions under Option -89, and the -2500L version only is Type IC rated for direct contact with insulation.
