The Juno® J6RL retrofit LED trim modules provide a fast and economical method for upgrading existing 6-inch housings to LED lighting, producing up to 900 lumens of bright, high-quality light while consuming less than 12 watts. These all-in-one trim modules are IC-rated, compliant with California T24 high-efficacy standards, and suitable for damp locations. The J6RL trims are available in 6-inch round form with LED light sources in 2700K, 3000K, or 4000K color temperatures, 90 CRI minimum, and a choice of baffle, cone, or open trim styles in black or white finishes. They operate at 120 volts and are compatible with forward phase, reverse phase, and Triac dimmers.
Installation into existing 6-inch incandescent housings with medium base sockets or Juno QC6 and QC6R quick-connect housings is straightforward, and these trims can be used in housings fully covered with insulation. The modular design includes interchangeable baffle and cone inserts that can be changed in the field, allowing for customizable aesthetics. The trim modules are dimmable with most standard incandescent or electronic low voltage dimmers and are rated for 50,000 hours of life, with a five-year limited warranty on LED components.
The LED retrofit trim features an aluminum housing with a standard white painted flange, integrating the LED light engine directly to the trim. Torsion springs are included for secure installation, and an accessory kit is available for housings that lack torsion spring retaining brackets. The light engine utilizes a one-piece high-purity aluminum housing for superior thermal management, ensuring long life and consistent performance. LEDs are available in 3000K, 3500K, or 4000K color temperatures with 90 CRI minimum, and they accommodate 120 volts AC at 60Hz.
The trim inserts are offered in baffle or cone styles with a range of finishes, shipped installed in the trim, and can be easily swapped in the field. The optical system combines a computer-optimized reflector with a high-transmission diffusing lens to conceal the LEDs, producing over 900 lumens while using just 14 watts. Electrical connections include a quick-connect plug for installation into QC6 and QC6R housings, and a medium base socket adapter whip ships standard for installation into 6-inch incandescent housings. For California shipments, the socket adapter is not included (L/SKTWHIP).
The J6RL trims are rated for 50,000 hours at 70% lumen maintenance and certified to California T24 high-efficacy requirements when used with select baffle and cone inserts. They are union made and UL and cUL classified for use with 6-inch incandescent medium base housings and Juno QC6 and QC6R quick-connect housings.
Compatibility extends to most 6-inch recessed housings with a minimum height of 5-1/4 inches and an inside diameter of 6 to 6-3/4 inches. Removal of the housing socket plate or socket mounting bracket may be required for proper fit. If the housing lacks torsion spring brackets, the V6RLTRB accessory is required. Compatible housings include, but are not limited to, Juno IC2, IC22, IC23, IC21, and TC2 housings; Juno QC6 and QC6R quick-connect housings; VuLite V6IC and V6TC housings; Halo H7 and H25 Series; Thomas PS1 and PS3 Series; Capri CR1, PR1, QL6, and P9ASIC Series; and Lithonia L7X Series.
