The Juno® Basics Series™ 5RLA adjustable retrofit LED downlight is a versatile lighting solution offering precise control over beam direction and rotation. The 5RLA provides vertical aiming up to 35° and 359° horizontal rotation, allowing tailored accent or task lighting in residential or commercial environments. Trims are available with two optical distributions: a 25° narrow flood and a 70° wide flood. The LED light engine is mounted directly to the cast aluminum housing, ensuring superior thermal management, while the gimbal trim with built-in flange delivers durability and a clean ceiling interface. Producing over 650 lumens, the 5RLA trim delivers light equivalent to a 65W incandescent lamp while consuming only 10.5 watts, offering up to 85% reduced power consumption compared to traditional lamps.
The 5RLA retrofit adjustable trim is compatible with standard 5" IC or non-IC recessed housings and is suitable for replacing 65W incandescent lamps. Its gimbal design allows for precise aiming, with up to 35° vertical adjustment and 359° horizontal rotation. The trim is dimmable with most standard incandescent, magnetic low voltage, and electronic low voltage dimmers. Rated for 36,000 hours of life, the trim comes with a five-year limited warranty on LED components, providing long-term reliability and consistent performance.
The trim module is constructed with a die cast aluminum housing and a white gimbal and flange. The all-in-one design mounts the LED light engine directly to the trim for simple installation into existing 5" recessed housings equipped with medium base sockets. Torsion springs are included for secure mounting. The LED light engine operates at 2700K with a minimum 90 CRI, ensuring consistent color quality and accurate rendering. Electrical connections include a quick connect plug installed as standard for easy installation into QC5 and QC5R housings. The trim ships with a medium base socket adapter whip for installation into 5" incandescent housings with medium base sockets; shipments to California exclude the medium base socket adapter (L/SKTWHIP). The optical system conceals the LED source within a lensed optic and offers either 25° narrow flood or 70° wide flood beam patterns. The trim module is rated for 36,000 hours at 70% lumen maintenance.
The 5RLA adjustable retrofit LED trim is certified to meet the high efficacy requirements of California Title 24, and is UL and cUL classified for use with most standard UL listed 5" recessed incandescent housings as well as Juno QC5 and QC5R housings. The module is suitable for damp locations. Field performance may vary from laboratory results, and all specifications are subject to change.
Compatible housings include, but are not limited to, Juno IC20, IC25, and TC20; Juno quick-connect LED housings QC5 and QC5R; VuLite® V5IC and V5TC; Lithonia® L5; Halo® H5; Thomas® PS5 and CR5; and Capri® QL5. The 5RLA retrofit module fits most 5" recessed housings with at least 4" height and an inside diameter between 5" and 5-3/4". Removal of the housing socket plate or socket mounting bracket may be required to accommodate the trim.
