The OOOOH RING reimagines the classic ring pendant with a striking and innovative louver design. This design features an array of ellipses incurved along the profile, adding a subtle yet sophisticated aesthetic that creates a sublime lighting effect. The louver system not only softens the starkness of the commonly exposed diffuser but also enhances visual comfort by minimizing glare. These injection-molded louvers are available in five finishes: Black, which offers the highest glare control; White, providing higher reflectance and improved performance; and three satinized finishes—Satin Chrome, Satin Gold, and Satin Champagne—designed to elevate interior design aesthetics. Additionally, OOOOH RING can be equipped with an acoustic panel available in six finishes, adding a decorative dimension while also delivering sound-absorbing functionality.
Constructed with a durable aluminum body, the fixture is powder coated to ensure a refined, lasting finish. It suspends gracefully from steel cables and features a silver braided power cable for both strength and aesthetic appeal. The fixture delivers impressive lumens and LPW performance based on a 4000K color temperature with a minimum CRI of 80+, ensuring bright, quality light output suitable for a variety of environments. Mechanically, the luminaires mount directly over a J box (provided by others), facilitating straightforward installation. Sensor compatibility is available upon consultation with the factory, allowing for intelligent lighting control integration.
The diffuser is made from opal polycarbonate, contributing to the fixture’s soft and even light distribution. For safety and code compliance, an optional remote emergency lighting system is available. This system provides a 1.5-hour (3 hours for EU) emergency lighting facility and includes the inverter module, NiCad batteries, a remote wall or ceiling-mounted LED charge indicator, and a test switch (available in North America only). The maximum distance between the wall or ceiling plate and the luminaire is 15 feet (4.5 meters), and the test switch fits a standard single gang box (not supplied).
The lighting drivers are remote, HPF electronic models designed for 120-277V and 347V (EU-240V) with dimming capabilities. Wiring options allow for a maximum distance of 40 feet (12.2 meters) with 18 AWG wire, 60 feet (18.3 meters) with 16 AWG wire, and 90 feet (27.4 meters) with 14 AWG wire from fixture to drivers. These drivers must remain accessible after installation and may be either remote mounted or integral to the canopy depending on the fixture size.
The acoustic panels integrated within OOOOH RING have a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) rating of 0.80, effectively absorbing sound to improve acoustic comfort. They meet ASTM E84-2018 Class A fire rating standards and are made from 100% recycled polyester fiber (PET) with a thickness of 12mm (0.5 inches). The fixture boasts an impressive reported L70 lifetime of over 102,000 hours at 25°C (77°F) at 2000 lumens per foot (6000 lumens per meter), with an estimated L70 lifetime extending beyond 178,000 hours under the same conditions.
This luminaire is damp rated, making it suitable for use in environments where moisture is present, providing versatile and durable performance in a variety of architectural and commercial settings.
