Available in four unique form factors with various orientations, SCALA provides flexibility to match different design aesthetics and installation needs. Whether incorporated into contemporary landscapes or traditional masonry, it blends discreetly into the surrounding architecture. Offered in three durable polyester-based powder coat finishes, SCALA is also available with an optional turtle-friendly amber LED, making it suitable for environmentally sensitive or coastal areas.
Engineered with longevity and resilience in mind, the housing is constructed from low copper, die-cast aluminum, providing high resistance to oxidation and corrosion. The finish is a UV- and oxidation-resistant polyester powder coat that maintains appearance over time. A 3mm (0.12") thick sodium calcium tempered glass diffuser ensures both durability and light clarity, while a silicone gasket provides a watertight seal against outdoor elements.
SCALA’s cable entry system features a silicone gland designed to accommodate cables with diameters between 10–14 mm (0.4–0.55"). External screws are made from A4 stainless steel and are specially treated with an antioxidant, water-repellent lubricant to support easy access and long-term durability in outdoor settings. The thermoplastic rough-in housing is designed for recessed installation in poured concrete or brick walls only, ensuring a clean and integrated final appearance.
Power is supplied via a high power factor (HPF) electronic driver operating at 120–277V, with 120V support specifically for Type C and Type D variants. Delivered lumens and lumens-per-watt performance are based on a minimum 80 CRI at 3000K, which also qualifies SCALA as Dark Sky Friendly when specified at this color temperature, helping reduce light pollution in outdoor spaces.
