The Level Microprism Recessed is a discreet and minimalist ceiling lamp designed by Olle Lundberg, intended to be mounted directly within the ceiling suspension system. This luminaire features a light opening or diffuser with a high-performance microprismatic surface, offering excellent light efficiency, superior general lighting quality, and a high color rendering index. Level is specifically designed for general lighting in offices and conference rooms, meeting the latest EN 12464-1 standards for luminance suitable for visual display unit (VDU) work.
Constructed with a luminaire housing made from extruded white lacquered aluminium, Level benefits from a very compact format enabled by its LED light source. The use of side-emitting diodes allows for an exceptionally thin design, making it ideal for installation in confined spaces. The luminaire creates a round, decorative light opening using a decor plate that can be easily placed in front of the LED panel to enhance its aesthetic appeal.
Level offers flexible installation options: it can be mounted directly in ceiling suspension systems, attached to fixed ceilings using an optional surface-mounted box, or suspended from four wires, which are also sold as accessories. The light opening is made of microprismatic acrylic glass, which ensures effective light diffusion and excellent visual comfort.
The connection is facilitated by a halogen-free cable with free wire ends or a quick connector, with the LED driver typically placed above the suspended ceiling. For convenience, the driver can be fixed on the back of the luminaire using pre-mounted tape, but it may also be installed separately next to the luminaire if needed.
The LED light source is included, available in color temperatures of 3000K or 4000K, with a minimum color rendering index (CRI) of 90. Its estimated lifetime is extensive, with LM80 ratings showing L90 for over 54,000 hours and TM-21 projections reaching up to 100,000 hours. The product complies with the European energy efficiency regulation (EU) No 2019/2015, classifying it as energy class E.
The microprismatic acrylic diffuser provides symmetrical downlight with a 90° light distribution, delivering comfortable and even illumination. The fixture is equipped with a latest-generation LED driver that regulates light through amplitude modulation to create flicker-free lighting. This driver supports dimming from 1% to 100% and has an expected lifetime of 100,000 hours, with a maximum 10% loss of performance.
Level has an IK rating of 07, weighs 3.8 kilograms, and is rated IP40, making it suitable for indoor use only. The luminaire itself has a thickness of just 8mm without the driver, underscoring its slim profile and suitability for modern, minimalistic interiors.
